Remington Limb-n-Trim

I have the RM1415A model. I've had it for years (before battery powered saws came about ) It filled a niche between my ploppers and breaking out my MAC. The thing opened my eyes to electric chainsaws, just keep your chain sharp and adjusted and let the chain do the work.

10 inch rem saw
By Rich T.

Review Posted 04/08/2016
I have a 10 inch rem chain saw, it is really a adjustable pole saw. Had it 8 yrs, easy to use, plenty of power, 8 amp motor, the plastic head fell off the pole 2 years ago, I called the company up, to get some glue to replace the plastic head on a fiberglass pole. Well they said it was a secret glue!!
I can't let you have, or sell you any. Omg maybe I should BUY a new saw?? Don't think so.!!
I used J B Weld glue. That was 2 yrs ago, and it still holding strong. I still love the saw!!!

Best preforming chain saw for under $60 bucks. Does all it says it can do, and even much easier than I expected.

Serious saw for the money

Seriously cut back FIVE trees in my back yard, average branch size about 3" but some as much as 5"-6" in diameter. Properly handled this little saw did a great job, it definitely made short work of those trees.
On a scale of 1-10 I'd give a solid 12.

Very Strong Electric Motor
By Terence H.

Review Posted 02/22/2016
I ordered this since I had the 10 inch branch trimmer model with the long aluminum pole to reach way up in the tree. I hoped this would fit that pole's handle but it's larger. Most likely the larger handle is needed due to the 14 inch chain. The electric motor is really strong and works all the time.
I kind of abused the first one and it still worked for several years so I'm sure this one will last just as long. I have 2 gasoline powered chain saws and have problems with them off and on but the electric powered ones are really great. I cut a lot of wood for burning in my fireplace so it gets a lot of use. It is very trustworthy and I'm very happy.

WRONG MODEL SHIPPED

I'm happy with my RM1415A that I bought last year. My neighbor likes it too so he had me order one for him. This time I got an RM1425, totally different and longer, not as compact and versatile. But rather than go through the hassle of return shipping BS, he decided to keep it even though it is noisier.
So you decide, and take your chances.

I order the Remington model# RM1415A but instead received a RM1425. I had an Remington extension pole that would had work for the saw that I order, but not the one they sent. They need to change their web site to show the correct model. I kept the saw since I could use it without the pole and the price was right.

Expert Response
Remington is using model number RM1425 for the 2015 version of the RM1415A. Neither model will fit on their pole saw extension though. We apologize for the confusion. You may contact Remington at 866-206-2707.

I needed a chainsaw to clean up the yard including the removal of an old fig tree. The Remington Limb and Trim was the perfect tool for the job at hand. It´s price and versatility make it a great bargain.

I have a 10" pole saw a 14" saw and a 16" saw
By Fred H.

I have a 10" pole saw, a 14" saw and a 16 in saw..I am 83 yrs old and I have had the pole saw ever since it came out..I bought the 14" saw for larger limbs and I have given it a very good work out for at least 10 yrs... I got the 16" saw on sale and it is the best of all.
The only thing that I question is that they all use the same gear sprocket and I'm having to replace the sprocket on the 10" and the 14". At one time, there were local dealers from whom I could buy parts for Remington saws, but now I have to buy on the internet. I have cut more wood than I can count with all my saws and I do stand by Remington. Thank you.

could be better

I owned this saw and used it for a year. The chain tensioner failed and the studs that hold the bar pulled out within a month. The chain also likes to come off for no reason at all.
