I purchased this washer.. Will never buy another.
First one was replaced by home depot.. pump was bad...
Second one has been repaired 2 times in still won't work correctly...
Hard to start then if you don't keep the wand open the back pressure will kill the motor.
The motor runs but the pump is a piece of junk, never buy this
model ry8049, Looks new just setting in my garage, guess I will
take it to the dump.

I had this unit for 2 years and used it about 6 times. It seized up and and is shot now. I changed the oil, treated the gas, replaced the spark plug and the pull cord is stuck fast.
Interestingly enough I bought this one to replace a Simpson 3100 with the same exact problem. The Honda motors are supposed to be great and Im told the pumps on both of them are the true problem. It costs half the price of the unit to replace the pump. This is ridiculous!

I Like It... So Far, So Good

I am very happy with my 3100 psi Pressure Washer but I have only used a few times. I like the layout of the unit: the folding handle, the overall size, the multi-spray nozzle and the overall size for winter storage.
t sure beats my old 2500 psi unit and I like having the soap dispenser on-board. It looks easy to maintain and it looks as if it would be easy to work on.
It easily removed the black nasty mold from the concrete without a hitch. I ran it constantly for 2 hours and have gone through 3 tanks of gas so far. I will write another review if problems arise.

Borrowed this unit from a friend, used it for about 12 hours running time. It did an excellent job.
I did my whole driveway of Stonehouse Zeroscape- excellent job, ran great.

I actually use this pressure washer for my small business and I have to say it gets the job done! It folds down and fits in my car. I brought two of them and I am more than happy with the product.

My machine has been perfect - starts on the first pull even after months of storage. The selectable spray nozzle is extremely helpful. The rotary attachment for deck and driveway cleaning is also great - it speeds up the process tremendously.
There are a few tricks to good performance:
1) I NEVER use automobile fuel. I use aircraft fuel (100LL) from a local airport. There are other potential fuels - the fuel sold at Home Depot or even white gas (Coleman fuel) work great, but they are more expensive. It doesn't use much fuel.
2) I always use a pump conditioner after each use.
3) I don't use the detergent tank. If I did I would flush it extremely thoroughly.

Perfect!
Cleaned the patio, steps, and walkways.
Perfect!
Decided to pressure wash the cedar siding on my Mcmansion ) .
Perfect again!
After having carburetor troubles with other small engine yard tools I decided to NEVER use ethanol laced gasoline for small engines, or my motorcycle.
This seems to be the key to getting a longer life out of my mowers, blowers, chainsaws, and pressure washers.
Perfect!

Purchased a Home Depot floor display for 10% off. Got it home and had to take it to the repair shop after trying to start it for an hour. Read the review and buy the Simpson Megashot 3100 or Generac 3100.

Purchased at Home Depot. 3rd use the pump mount bolts sheared off leaving the pump lying on the ground. Home Depot replaced without question. Now 3rd use again, my Water-Pik has better cleaning pressure. Home Depot will not own it and I can't get a repair shop to call back. I need to use it now. Very unhappy.

Pressure pump went after only a couple of uses. Stored over winter in heated garage and was told that I should have put some type of preventative liquid into the tank to stop the pressure pump from seizing up. I (and several friends) have never had this problem with any past pressure washer.
