Features
- Included AquaSmart Control
- The AquaSmart control included with the GC144 series of boilers acts as the brain for your home's heating system, allowing it to react to both outdoor temperatures and increased heat demand within your home.
- Patented Flexible Cast Iron
- Buderus manufactures the GC144 with their patented GL-180M cast iron, an alloy developed specifically for home heating applications. The alloy is more corrosion resistant and flexible than other alloys, allowing it to respond to rapid temperature changes.
- Ideal Replacement Boiler
- The GC144 was engineered to be compatible with older hydronic heating systems with as few modifications as possible. This translates into an easier to install boiler requiring less contractor work, which leads to reduced installation costs.
The GC144/4 gas fired boiler is purpose built for boiler replacement applications. It was built from the ground up to ensure compatability with older homes while still providing the higher efficiencies and safety features we have come to expect from boilers today. An AFUE of 85% places the GC144 head and shoulders above most older conventional boilers, and you will be able to immediately tell the difference after installation when your fuel bill comes in the mail. The included AquaSmart control and pressure relief valve bring your boiler up to modern safety standards, providing increased safety for your entire family.

Fuel Type
Fuel Type
To create heat, some form of fuel is required. Fuel Type specifies what the product uses as an input to create heat.
Natural Gas
Combustion Type
Combustion Type
Condensing appliances use leftover thermal energy from combustion gases to heat water in a secondary heat exchanger, resulting in higher efficiency and lower exhaust temperature.
Conventional
Vent Type
Vent Type
Products that use combustion (burning) of fuel to create heat also create potentially dangerous gasses that need to be exhausted (AKA "Vented"). Depending on the product, venting can be done via a chimney, through a side wall, or use a second vent to provide fresh air to the appliance.

DOE Heating Capacity
DOE Heating Capacity
Also referred to as Gross Output, this is the output of a boiler after accounting for combustion efficiency. We recommend sizing hot water boilers based on the DOE Heating Capacity.

Net I=B=R Capacity
Net I=B=R Capacity
I=B=R, also referred to as Net Output or AHRI Capacity, is the rated heat output of a boiler after accounting for combustion efficiency, piping loss, and an extra pickup factor. We recommend sizing steam boilers based on the I=B=R rating.

Ultra Low NOx Emissions
Ultra Low NOx Emissions
NOx is a byproduct of the combustion process, and it's output is regulated in some jurisdictions. Many regulators mirror SCAQMD rules, which regulate air quality for some parts of Southern California. Ultra Low NOx appliances emit less than 10-14 ng/J (nanogram per Joule) of NOx. Learn More

The left side of the boiler is too busy. The feed and the supply are there then the Gas and electric are also connected to the left side. To connect everything to the boiler the installation of the pipes had to be orchestrated. Otherwise we are happy with the boiler. Although the Buderus website was difficult to register the boiler for the warranty.
