I realized too late I made poor choice in compressors (nothing to do with A/C Direct). It is unfortunate they do not have any kind of policy to accommodate a situation where the customer is not 100% satisfied. Yes it was my fault and I yes am totally to blame, but, as many other large companies do, there is some sort or return or swap. There would NEVER be a problem with Lowes or Home Deport if you wanted to return an item that did not meet your expectations. I will say the A/C Direct sales and delivery were exceptional, very easy to order and quick delivery.

I spent quite a long time researching compressors for my workshop and was pleased to finally decided on the Cal Air 60040CAD. The things that made the decision where the two smaller low rpm motors resulting in lower wear and how quiet it is. It arrived quickly and was easy to install and get running.
Only issue I had was after a week or so the auto drain valve started leaking by. I contacted customer support and they walked me through disassembly and cleaning the seat. It works great now and I learned a lot. (reason for the quality rating)
Overall extremely satisfied with this purchase and the support. Would highly recommend

Received the compressor in a timely manner.
Very pleased at how quiet it is.
Kind of surprised how hot the heads get placed with a fan that runs when I'm using it to help keep it cooler.
The air release aspect for moisture is a big plus.
Hopefully, it will last for years.

This is my 3rd Cal Air Compressor. 1st one is a portable that I used for installing in the field. Incredibly fast recovery and more importantly,,,quiet. Second is a 20 gallon for shop which worked well. We moved to a bigger shop and had room for the 60 gallon so went with it as worked the 20 gallon one to death for three years and it's been great!

I have owned this model for 18 months and now when it is running there is a shrill noise that is so loud you can't be in the same room. I was promised that when I purchased the unit that it would out last the less expensive box store models but they normally lasted 24 months and this unit lasts 18. Customer service at Calif tools has not been helpful in repairs. We have been on the phone with them a dozen times without resolution.

I purchased one of these for a new business we started simply because we were told it is very quiet. Once we got the electrical and the plumbing to it I turned it on and could not believe how quiet it was. We had to put it indoors at this location. I liked it so well I purchased two more for our existing business. I am putting them inside because our current units are outside and the Oklahoma winter is very difficult on compressors. I especially like the automatic drain now I won't need an inline dryer. Very good product. When I ordered the first one there was a delay from the original delivery date. I called the manufacturer and actually talked to a real person. He explained the situation waiting on some parts which all have that problem. He said when he could ship it and I'll be darned if he didn't do what he said he would.
