Can’t believe the night and day difference between rotary and reel mowing. The California Trimmer is a budget friendly option and boy does it perform. Ordering from Mowers Direct was so easy and they really stick to the delivery date. Great experience

Ordered the mower and received it exactly when promised. Couple of scratches, but no big deal for me. Made a minor adjustment to the throttle cable and it was off to the races. Does a great job and used it at least 10 hours with no issues at.

Living in Texas not too many folks cut their lawns like a golf course, but I wanted to. This machine is great for any lawn, it cuts perfectly every pass. It was very easy to assemble and the price was hundreds less than anyone else.

I own two Mclane reel mowers and two California trimmer reel mowers. The California trimmers are of far better quality and performance. Plus the Trimmers are far easier to lap and adjust the blades when sharpening. The Briggs & Stratton engines are great and start with one pull. On and off switch is easy to locate and use.

Using this mower on 1/2 acre of Bermuda grass. Takes about an hour and I have hills. Works great and is worth every penny. Rotary mower was causing issues and since getting this it is night and day.

First of all, the shipment went very smoothly, took about a week and the driver was kind enough to use the pallet jack and put it in my garage. The mower is very easy to use, and much better than a McLane. It cuts extremely well, make sure to get the roller. Everyone at Mowers Direct was helpful and Joey made the purchase process smooth.

I do not usually complain about things I purchase but the California Trimmer did not meet my expectations. I recently planted bent grass in a 30X60 foot area to make a putting green. I have a push reel mower to cut the area but it does not cut low enough, so I bought this mower. This one does cut low enough but it does not cut evenly. There are many random tall blades of grass sticking up within the row of freshly cut grass. Not the short carpet look I was going for. I bought the lapping kit and used it to sharpen the cutting blades and improve performance. It did not. In addition, this mower is harder to use than my push mower. It is hard to turn and damages the lawn when turning 180deg. AND yes I do make sure I lift up the drive roller when turning. Starts with one pull every time.

Great mower for cutting my TifWay 419 Bermuda lawn. I added the roller bar over the wheels as slight imperfections can result in unsightly scalping. Cut is razor clean. This mower is well constructed and heavy but the self-propel works like a dream. Grass catcher install/engineering is poor but really don't need it for a golf course perfect yard if you mow frequently. Mowers Direct order was seamless, on time and great.
