The compressor showed up way faster than I expected. Shipped on a pallet. It is noted that it's top heavy, and it is.
I installed it with a cord/plug to a dedicated 30A circuit. Mine is also mounted on vibration pads (as per the install manual) bolted to the ground. Started right up. It is relatively quiet for a 5HP compressor. So far so good. I can’t comment on reliability as it's been less than a week.

First Startup, Factory Tank Connections Leaked
By Chris T.
Quitman, Texas
Purchased 03/31/2021 |
Review Posted 10/10/2021
My review is below in "My Experience".
I bought the air compressor and took my time over several months positioning it, running the electrical circuit, then the Rapidair maxline air delivery system, and then flipped the switch for the first time, came on as expected and pumped up to pressure of and shut off. I then used the installed ball valve to let air move throughout the system. I then checked for leaks and no leaks on any of the 24 connections that I myself put together. But the tank leaked down overnight. I did another leak test and this time I started at the tank itself with the connections made up at the factory by the production workers. Out of the top of the tank in the brass connectors the bubbles of air escaping through my soapy test mixture were apparent. Well how's that for what I paid for this compressor. I (a novice) made up 24 connections where none leaked, and the professionals at the factory produced a leak at the tank at the very first brass connector. That connector has a small steel line tapped into it so I can't just tighten the fool thing. It's in a tight space and now I have to work on it since a paid production worker didn't in a proper way. This also tells me they don't test their product for leaks before they ship them out. Nothing is reliable anymore no matter the cost and you can put this air compressor at the top of that list. I'm very disappointed but stuck with it. After all the work I did on the whole thing to get it up and running, then to find the one weak link is now factory generated, really disgusts me.

Great Other Than It Has An Air Leak.

Review Posted 06/10/2021

I love everything about my new compressor other than the small air leak from the top tank fitting. It's a minor leak, but fixing it will require me to disassemble all of the airlines/fittings. Doing so will likely void my warranty.

I used this to paint my boat. Keeps up great, never have to wait for air. This thing is big, have a plan for getting it from the curb to wherever you will place it. A hand truck or moving dolly won’t be enough. I suggest a pallet jack. Love the compressor!

Nice Machine But Needs Improvement To Make It Less Top Heavy And

Review Posted 08/18/2020
This compressor works OK but I feel it is wrongly designed. It is top heavy because the top is wider than the base. A center hook point is needed to raise it up with a chain. Very awkward to raise up from the wood base it is shipped with no center point for hook-up. Otherwise works OK.

Does the compressor come on a pallet that it is bolted down on? If we buy the service kit does it extend the whole compressor warranty for 4 years or just the pump?
