Not The Best DeWALT Tool

I must own 50+ DeWALT tools. All are made by DeWALT. This isn’t. First it came off the UPS truck and a cardboard box but no Styrofoam inside. The plastic black cover that covers the motor was all broken loose from its screws and when I started the compressor hot black plastic flew all over the place. I spent a couple of days repairing everything and buying new screws and fixing what had gone wrong with shipping and got it back to normal. Now that I have it running I find that it loses between 10 to 15 pounds of pressure per night. I put a soap mixture on all the connections and every single connection to the tank is leaking. All these can be fixed, it’s more of a nuisance than anything else. But I can’t say there’s anything special about this compressor and it is a bit disappointing that everything is leaking. It’s relatively quiet. But I certainly can’t say this is the best compressor I’ve owned. I like the color but I’m disappointed with the quality and the shipping container. It didn’t even have a sign saying, this side up.

I could not give it more than a 1 rating but at that its noteworthy it! BEWARE DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!, its motor is underpowered, it's poorly built from cheap Chinese parts, it takes forever pushing itself to reach the factory 200 lb setting on the tank, over 20 minutes to do so, right out of the box. Its been only two weeks and has only been fired up twice.
Now the piston and the seal has seized and I can't get a refund or replacement. Dewalt is sending me parts I CAN INSTALL??? To fix the issue? TWO DAYS Running? BRAND NEW??? and it blew a piston and seal??? COME ON! DEWALT! SHAME ON YOU!!
SOMEONE did not R&D this GREATLY PISSED OFF and I just wasted $600.00 WARNING READ CAREFULLY SAVE YOUR MONEY HERE! ....DO NOT BUY!

The product is a DeWalt, therefore we knew we had security in buying a quality unit which works flawlessly.
Unfortunately, it arrived damaged. The motor and pump were not physically attached to the tank and much damage had occurred during the shipping due to the components smashing against one another while in transit.
I was deployed overseas and was not home to receive this gift from my family for two months after its delivery. Therefore, it went unchecked and unpackaged for some time. As soon as we unpackaged the box, it was apparent there was a problem. We took a video of what we saw and several pictures of the damage.
Those files were sent to Air Compressors Direct along with a phone call which resulted in a pickup of the damaged compressor (free) and the delivery (free) of my brand new unscathed compressor, all within one week.
DeWalt has always been my 'go-to' tool company, but it was Air Compressors Direct's customer service and quick solution that made this transaction memorable and worthy of a review.
WELL DONE - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! and the compressor is strong and quiet too.
