After a lot of research I asked my wife to buy this for me for Christmas. I received it on January 3rd and have been getting it set up to replace a 20 year old Craftsman unit.

I noticed upon unpacking that the power switch would instantly spring into the Auto position and wouldn’t switch Off. I started thinking that maybe it needed power to it, so I didn’t let it bother me.

After getting myriad correct fittings to plumb into my system I plugged it in. Unfortunately, I was wrong about the power switch. It will not switch off.

Anyway, it only runs for a few seconds before tripping my breaker. Frustrated, but not to be let down, I kept working to get it finished. It didn’t take a few seconds more to realize the one of the headbolts for the pump is totally incorrect. I don’t think that’s the culprit for the electric motor to keep tripping my breaker, but it’s disconcerting when I wonder what else is not assembled correctly.

I have emails to Dewalt and Air Compressors Direct to get help. I will update once I have a remedy.
