Poor Customer service by Leaf Blower Direct.

I called the company and told them that in less than 2 weeks after delivery and only used 3-4 times the belt came off and the pulley melted
I asked for a replacement since it had broke so quickly.
Leaf Blower Direct offer to do Nothing referred me to Dewalt. Dewalt was great and offered to repair replace or refund my money. Since Dewalt had such great customer service I am going to take a replacement.
However since Leaf Blower Direct had such poor customer service I will not buy anything from them again. Go elsewhere to get a Dewalt product.

I apologize for your dissatisfaction with our service. Unfortunately we do not carry parts and therefore would not be able to offer you a replacement. However, the units we sell carry the manufacturer's warranty which is why you were referred to Dewalt and this was handled through them directly.

A cordless battery blower that's every bit as powerful as a gas

This DeWalt blower is every bit as powerful as comparable gas powered blowers. Easy to use right out of the box. If you're familiar with the quality of DeWalt products, you're sure to be pleased with this one. A big plus, over a gas powered machine, is the lack of exhaust fumes when operating. You can blow out your garage bays without stinking up the whole house with exhaust fumes. No more mixing gas/oil blends, no more running to the gas station to refuel in the middle of a project, & no more gummed up carburetors in the off-season.
The only negative is the cost of the lithium-ion batteries. They are EXPENSIVE (anywhere from $149-$279, depending on the amp/hour rating) & it's a good idea to have a spare so you don't have to stop working should your battery run out in the middle of a clean-up project.
Alternately, you could buy another DeWalt cordless 40-Volt yard tool & share the batteries between the two units whenever you need them (they're interchangeable). Additionally, a longer blower tube or tube extension would be nice to get the end of the tube a little closer to the ground. The one provided on the DeWalt blower is shorter than on most competitor's models.
