I received the tiller in good condition, assembled it and it ran about 5 minutes before the drive belt broke. I contacted customer service and they sent me a free belt. I put the belt on and it worked a couple of minutes. The tines won't even turn now.

Based on the details you have provided and the fact that you have already gone through a belt, the root of the problem likely lies with the idler assembly. The replacement belt that you have installed should be nice and snug with little to no slack, please make sure this is the case. Did you take a look at the idler arm and/or engagement cable? Engagement failure could also be due to a bent idler arm or faulty engagement cable. If the idler arm is compromised and/or engagement cable is not properly tensioned, then these may need to be adjusted and/or replaced.

Please keep in mind that your unit is covered under a 2-year warranty of which may need to be exercised. The price is good, and it tackles the clay here in Northwest Arkansas. My garden is pretty good size. Definitely made for home use, which is what I wanted.
