Of course since I bought this snow blower there’s been no significant snow here, so I can’t really review this product. But I can review my experience with this company as when I received my unit there was considerable shipping damage thanks to FedEx and the charger was completely missing. An hour after I received it I messaged PED after business hours with pictures of the damage. FedEx had delivered it four hours later than their scheduled delivery window. The following day I called PED expecting to be told to file a damage claim with FedEx. Well, they’d already done that and were super cooperative about getting my snow blower everything it needed. Within about two weeks I’d gotten my replacement charger and replacement wheel and my unit was ready for snow.
I only write reviews if I’ve had an exceptional experience good or bad. I’m not too impressed with FedEx but I’m very impressed with PED. They made an aggravating experience as painless as possible. I’d certainly purchase from them again.

First Eletric Snow Blower

I live in the mid-west and was able to use this snow blower three times this year so far. It work as advertised. It world completely do my driveway and sidewalk twice and still have a little charge left over. The battery charger and batteries work well together and recharging takes very little time. The snow blower is made well and I have no issues.

I had about a foot of light snowfall and cleared a portion of a driveway, the sidewalk and two neighbors' sidewalks, a total of about 120 feet. Did the clearing in two shifts covering about 6 inches to make the job easier.
Each clearing consumed 20% battery life from each of the two 7.5 Ah batteries as I had the auger speed first at 50% then set to it maximum so I wouldn't have to push as hard to clear the snow. It appears to me that it could use more torque (horsepower), and that maybe because I used a gas blower before -but it did clear the snow down to the pavement.
It's extremely light and VERY easy to use and start which is why I bought it as I didn't want to have to deal with the maintenance, fumes and priming of a gas blower which was a real pain in the neck - no more pull ropes and primer bulbs for me. I will say that I plan to purchase a two-stage as a backup for when heavier snowfalls and don't want to clear it in multiple shifts. I would have purchased a two stage this time around, but they sold out quick.

Don’t be fooled by the lightness feel. Very effective and powerful machine. We recently received over 16 inches of heavy wet snow and this machine cut through it with ease. The batteries lasted for me to clear fairly long driveway that fits over 10 cars, along with the area where the street and sidewalk plows piled on the snow with power to spare. Not like the gas snowblower I was used to but much easier to handle. Just wish the back wheels were made with rubber and better tread Not sure how durable the unit will be year over year.

It was important to me to have a self propelled snow blower. It isn't PED's fault that this is one of them that the search listed. I do like EGO quality. If this one was self propelled it would be a star. Has great power and some unique features that I love.
