What is Local Pickup?

Answer:

This and many other products are now available for order online and pickup at the Power Equipment Direct warehouse in Bolingbrook, Illinois or at a Ferguson location near you.

How Do I Update My Pickup Location?

Answer:

Your nearest pickup location within a 50-mile radius is automatically selected when you enter the site. To change your pickup location and see availability for other nearby locations, click the "Change Pickup Location" link on the product page or in the cart.

How Do I Place a Local Pickup Order?

Answer:

Eligible items will have the Local Pickup option available both on the product page and in the cart. Select this option for all items you wish to pick up. Please note that Local Pickup can only be scheduled online at this time.

When Can Items Be Picked Up?

Answer:

Items are usually ready for pickup the same day the online order is placed, but this will depend on order volume and time of day. When your order is ready, you will receive an email including specific pickup instructions. Make sure to check your junk/spam folder. Orders not picked up within two business days may be canceled. You should opt to have your items shipped if you cannot pick them up promptly.

Who Can Pick Up My Order?

Answer:

During checkout, you will be prompted to enter the name, mobile phone number, and email address of the person who will be picking up the order. For your protection, only you or your designated pickup party may pick up your order. You will need your order confirmation and a government-issued photo ID to pick up your order.

Why Can't I Select Local Pickup for Some Items?

Answer:

Not all items are available at all locations, so pickup availability will vary based on the selected store. Additionally, some items ship directly from our manufacturer partners and are not available for pickup. You can use the "Change Pickup Location" link to check for availability at nearby Local Pickup locations.

Why Can't I Select Shipping for Some Items?

Answer:

Due to packaging, shipping costs, and other factors, some items cannot be shipped and are offered exclusively through Local Pickup.

Which Payment Methods Are Accepted?

Answer:

Credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and financing are accepted for Local Pickup orders.

What do I need to pick up my order?

Answer:

Make sure to have your order confirmation and a government-issued photo ID available when picking up your order. Check the item dimensions and ensure the items will fit in your vehicle. Bring any straps and other materials that will be needed to secure the items for transport.

I deal with a lot of industrial equipment and I was not only impressed with the compressor but even the packaging shows the interest placed in the product. The time to fill from empty is right on. The noise is non-existent especially compared to my old IR compressor. The locked rotor startup is less in amperage and time compared to the IR.
I do have a couple of concerns. There was no instruction manual with it and I was unable to find an exact manual online. Second, the instructions direct you to connect the green with to neutral. The green is ground and the motor does not require neutral for operation. This is concerning in an application if the building system is isolated neutral for ground fault systems. With the compressor ground connected to neutral, it is possible to ground the building neutral interfering with the ground fault systems and for the compressor to not be grounded. This compressor will be used in a limited use for the next two years and then will be placed in a more day to day operation. Air Compressors Direct was great to deal with no issues at all. Thank you glad I made the purchase.

ordered the compressor to replace a smaller unit that was in the process of failing. After receiving the new compressor, found concealed damage within the box. I called the company and spoke with Eve in sales, who requested some information, and I had the replacement part in hand within a week. The biggest selling point, I THINK, is the fact that the compressor is pressure lubricated model.

The only thing that I think could be improved on would be the installation of an hour meter, to keep track of the hours on the machine. This would be a great help in that it is HIGHLY recommended to change the oil in the compressor every 100 hours. In so far as the compressor itself, VERY satisfied with the unit.

Took longer than expected for delivery BUT well worth the wait. the unit was mounted very securely to a substantial pallet and then boxed with heavy cardboard supplemented with a 2x4 frame about half way up the tank. Wiring was straight forward and the unit is VERY quiet when running. It is very easy to carry on a conversation in normal voices standing right next to the unit while it is running. BEST compressor I have ever owned or worked with.

Definitely not as quiet as you are lead to believe. Oil drain tube was only finger tightened when received so I went through and checked all joints.

The EMAX compressor works great and Air Compressors Direct had a very competitive price and free delivery. We contacted EMAX directly to get a tank drain, they were very friendly and knowledgeable about their product. The compressor is far superior to our old compressor the Eagle Silent Series EA-6500 also purchased from Air Compressors Direct (we went through 2 of these in about 8 months). The EMAX supplies the house air for our small machine shop, micro fab, and lab. Two cons it is slightly louder than expected but still quieter than our old one and had a leaky fitting this was easily resolved with some Teflon tape.

Wasn’t the cheapest compressor, nor the most expensive. But well built - solid assembly. Well crated. I bought the ‘silent’ version. It is ‘smooth sounding’ and not hard on the ears but not entirely silent. I have heard a lot of compressors and this is one of the quietest I have heard. I have only just started making air but I have every bit of confidence this will last a long time.
