Now that I have this product up and running it's performance is excellent. As advertised, it is very quiet. It will provide all the air I'll ever need for a home shop with a variety of air tools as well as sand blasting and HVLP painting. It is well build and looks like it will last a lifetime.
The only issues I had were with the initial quality. Out of the box the bolt holding the protective cage in place at the top had backed out (or was never installed properly) and the oil reservoir vent was loose. These things were relatively easy to fix but required a bit of disassembly and reassembly. Once these were fixed a small rigid air hose blew off at full pressure. Once again, easy to fix. Taken together the initial quality was not what it should have been for a product in this price range.
On the plus side the customer service was great. Calls were answered or returned promptly and the administrative folks and technician were polite and knowledgeable.
This is a great product and I would buy it again. A little more attention to details in the final testing is all that is needed for an unbeatable experience.

It took exactly 30 days to receive the product, but the wait was well worth it. The compressor came bolted to a sturdy pallet completely enclosed with osb plywood. I drilled anchors into the concrete and mounted to the floor with vibration pads on each foot. This is one quiet running machine! You couldn't even hold a conversation with my old Husky compressor running in the building, but the Emax muffler makes a huge difference. I really like the 1750 rpm motor which is much quieter and should last forever. I have a 48 inch sandblast cabinet and the compressor has no problem keeping up with air and providing enough cfm. The refrigerated dryer is awesome, too. The last thing you want when sandblasting is damp media. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my Emax compressor. You could always save a few bucks and go with the big box store compressors made in China, but I can assure you it wouldn't compare to the made in USA Emax.

Compressor is very quiet compared to any I have had. Keeps up well with our demand. Comes set up for constant run so beware of that.
No instructions included and you need to download them from the website and then they are not that clear. Had to call to determine where the ancillary parts were. No cord included.
While I believe this is a durable compressor with what little use we have had, every fitting on the compressor was loose and needed to be tightened before we could use it. One fitting blew off immediately after bring up to pressure.

This is the second EMAX compressor we have bought for our two locations.
The first unit has outlasted the compressors we have purchased in the past by years, and is still working great! It is quite while running. It is extremely well manufactured. We have a large service facility, never had any problems with compressor. This is why there was no choice when we set up a new facility. I showed the unit to a wholesale rep from another company, and he asked for the information I had. He was so impressed he was going to contact them to see if it is a line he could pick up and rep. Great American made compressor.
