Overall it's ok kinda. First off the paint on the compressor is awful. It has bare cast iron on probably 40% of the compressor under the fins and several other areas. Now the BIG ISSUE!!!!! The motor mount is not stiff enough. So as the engine goes through the cycle it oscillates violently, so bad it causes the engine to blubber and often die. It probably could be fixed with a stiffener but will have to spend some money and time to try and figure it out. The span is so wide it flexes under the engine as the compressor makes compression. the fuel tank moves 1/2" and can not be held. I ordered the first one and it had been dumped on its top. Waited for another 2 weeks before I got this one having to turn away work. Now the thing is likely a $3000 lemon. I don't have the money to buy another one before I send this POS back. I have work waiting. This really sucks DO NOT BUY!!!! I will be posting a full review on my channel Tire Ballast Service of Florida very soon.

Buyer Beware Of ACP
By BN
Alabama
Purchased 03/09/2024 |
Review Posted 03/18/2024
Purchased this compressor last week. After a 10 min test run I went to turn the compressor off and noticed it was cover in oil. Upon further investigation, I noticed several hairline cracks in the cast iron pump assembly. This compressor was purchased because it/was a vital component in a government awarded job that has a very limited work window. If not completed on time collateral damages for not meeting the deadline would fall in my lap. I contacted ACP directly and explained the situation and the sense of urgency and the time sensitivity and all they wanted to do was pass blame to other parties when ultimately they are the wholesaler and responsible for mitigating problems with a product that a customer has had in their possession for less than 12 hours. All they were willing to do was open an investigation that would have been finger pointing match ultimately costing me time that would have eaten into the first work day of the project and possibly more being that the work was to start the following business day (Monday). After seeing the writing on the wall for how they planned to deal with this I contacted the manufacturer directly and explained the situation and how ACP was not willing to help and they did they went the extra mile and then some to save the day and save ACP from getting the collateral damage charges that my attorneys were going to forward to them. The guys at Eagle understand the importance and vitality of their products in cases such as this and stand behind their product. Fortunately, they are one state over and we're willing to come open up on a Saturday and swap the compressors out and get me going without any hesitation. I have not had a chance to review the performance of this product to offer any input there. However, after seeing first hand how they conduct business and stand behind their product there is no question that they make a good product that is assembled right here in the U.S. I will be purchasing 8 of these compressors this week for the main part of this project. This one was the tester to see if this was the right rig before investing heavily in their product. However, I will be doing business with a different vendor that doesn't try to wash their hands of a situation instead of stepping in to help.

Junk

Honda motor blew a chunk out out the side of the block. It was under warranty. Routine maintenance done by certified Honda dealer. Warranty denied by Honda. They "think" it was hydrolocked. That supposedly happens if you don't shut the gas off during transport of compressor. I shut it every single time. Sounds to me like a manufacturers defect. It doesnt warn you about those consequences in the manual. Yet still denied warranty. Honda is China junk now. Pump side and tank still holding up after 2+ years of 5 day a week use.

The only issue I see with the unit is on the compressor air filters. They are cheaply made, mounted horizontal, and it is almost impossible to get proper alignment on the filter when performing maintenance. A line up ring inside filter housing would be a definite plus.
