Had three black outs in two weeks witch lasted three day each, the power cord was great to keep the generator away from the house, have a Dewalt 7000 made by Generac, worked great.

Great shopping experience but online order status is poor, requiring 2 phone calls and missed ship dates before the order was broken up and shipped as individual items.

Solid Quality!

My Honeywell 7500W generator runs quieter than most others I've heard. The electric start is really convenient. It would have been nice if the starting battery would charge during operation without the need of an external AC plug-in charger. The Owner's Manual says the battery comes fully charged. But to be sure, I plugged in the charger for 48 hours before starting the first time.

In the event of a long power outage when the generator may need to be restarted a number of times, it's a good idea to charge the battery with the external charger (plugged into one of the generators outlets) while the generator is running.
And if the battery (or electric starter) fails, there is a manual pull-start.

I opted to use SAE 5-30 synthetic motor oil rather than the SAE 30 oil provided with the unit. This grade and type of oil will make the generator ready for use on the coldest Winter nights or the hottest Summer days. Plus, synthetic oil protects the engine far better than regular oil.The Generac Power Cord is very solidly built. I believe the plugs will survive thousands of plug and unplug cycles. Well worth the money!

Product Questions Answered by Jared, the Generator Expert
Hi, This cable is male-female. My electrician tells me that the transfer box will be female, so I need two male ends, I guess. Do I also get a short male-male cable or adapter?

My generator is 8kW. The manual calls for a "NEMA L14-30" cord, but the specs on this cord say "7500 watt max". Why? Will this cord work?
