Features
- Advanced Heat Exchanger Design
- The GMEC96 furnace employs a reliable dual-diameter tubular heat exchanger design. Aluminized steel is used for incredibly efficient heat transfer, and a wrinkle-bend is applied to the tubes to enhance the heat exchanger's dependability and longevity.
- Secondary Heat Exchanger
- This furnace produces addition heat by directing combustion gases through a secondary heat exchanger before they are vented. The secondary heat exchanger is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and it is sloped to prevent condensate build-up.
- Quiet Comfort
- The blower, motor, and gas valve of the GMEC960804CN were selected for their incredibly low sound levels. Additionally, this unit's fan speed options make it easy to maintain virtually silent circulation.
- Venting Options
- The GMEC960804CN offers several venting options to streamline installation in a variety of applications. It can be used in either a two-pipe direct vent setup or a single-pipe configuration with combustion air.
- Secure Cabinet
- All GMEC96 furnaces are protected by a durable steel cabinet rated for less than 2% air leakage. The heat exchanger section is lined with foil-insulation to prevent heat loss and the return side of the cabinet is solid and airtight.
- Easy Integration
- The GMEC960804CN makes it simple to enhance your system with a humidifier and an electronic air cleaner; just wire them directly to the low-voltage terminals on the control board.
- 10-Year Warranty
- In addition to the standard 5-year parts warranty, Goodman offers a 10-year limited parts warranty when you register your product online within 60 days. See warranty sheet under the "Manuals" tab for more information.
***Scratch & Dent*** Front access panel, side and back panels dented. Scuff marks around the unit.
Goodman established itself as the largest HVAC manufacturer in the US by producing high-quality, efficient equipment and providing it to homeowners at a great value. The GMEC96 two-stage, multi-speed furnace was designed to provide premium efficiency at an affordable price. It features Goodman's superior heat exchanger design for the primary heat exchanger and an additional secondary heat exchanger to ensure that your energy dollars aren't being vented out of your home. This combination results in a furnace that converts 96% of the energy used directly into heat for your home, Goodman's highest mark for a two-stage furnace. Instead of a standard multi-speed blower motor, the GMEC960804CN utilizes an ECM motor, which uses less power and provides smarter circulation. The value doesn't end at efficiency, the GMEC96 features many different connection options to reduce installation time and a self-diagnosing control board to expedite maintenance. If you're looking to cut your energy bills and improve your comfort without breaking the bank, your search stops with the GMEC96.
