Bought this pump, expected good things, and was happy for a year. Still working to expectations but it's adding too much water to my garage floor. Took the pump offline for the winter and hope to address this in the spring. It's leaking on the floor, just a little bit too much to deal with right now.

Not only will the pump fail, but the service absolutely is the worst part of it. I tried for 2 weeks to get help and ended up with a salesman who got attitude and did not get back to me but every few days and asked the same question and did nothing. Highly do not recommend this company

In July 2017 I installed my first Scala2 pump. It started leaking and then failed 9 months later. After much wrangling I got a second Scala2 under warranty. The second pump failed 9 months later. It started leaking and then failed just like the first one. I got a third Scala2 as it was still under warranty. On December 29, 2020 the third pump failed after 23 months. It started leaking just like the prior two.I will be getting my fourth pump in three and a half years.
DO NOT BUY THIS PUMP. IT IS NOT UP TO THE JOB.

I’m on the third pump, thank goodness for the warranty. When it works, it works good. I really don’t know exactly what happens to it but my crawl space is full of water.

Great Until It Failed In 18 Months

My plumber suggested this unit to improve my water pressure. It was costly, plus installation. It worked for about 18 months. Then tripped my breaker and began leaking. Yes, there is a 2 year warranty but read the fine print. The unit must have been manufactured no more than six months before you purchase it. Second, the consumer cannot deal directly with them. They want the pump returned to them before providing any warranty service. Not really what I expected for this price.

Seal Failures and More Seal Failures

I have had three of these Grundfos pumps (and one of the previous residential model pumps, the MQ-45).
They work great for about 3-6 months. Then slowly the seal goes and suddenly the pump will stop altogether. I would highly recommend avoiding this pump.
