This product works great. I was hesitant about its ability to make raised beds. After 30 seconds I knew it was worth the price. I wish I had bought it sooner. Tillers Direct shipped it free arriving in 4 days. If you love to raise your own fresh vegetables, this’s furrow kit for the Honda FRC800 is a must.

Did not come with parts!!!

I ordered this Honda furrower. I received the package and opened the box, the construction is very heavy duty and seems durable, but when I start reading the instructions I realize something is wrong. The parts list says the kit comes with four little bolts, two big bolts, four washers, four wing nuts, two flange nuts, and four lock washers. Here is what the kit came with: One little bolt, one big bolt, two washers, two wing nuts, no flange nuts, and no lock washers. You couldn't put this thing together even if you wanted to, conclusion: DO NOT BUY!!!!!

Hiller / Furrower

The hiller- furrow attachment replaces the depth bar on the Honda FRC800. There are 4 depth holes on the furrow attachment. Once mounted to my FRC800, it became obvious something was not right. I could only use the deepest depth adjustment hole. The other three would not come up to the top of the adjuster. The angle bar that attaches the furrow tool to the depth bar pushed directly against the bottom of the depth bar channel. No adjustment can be done to fix this. This is fatal in my book. To overcome this deep depth you must pull up slightly on the tiller handle to keep the furrow attachment from going too deep.
The hiller part of this tool is fantastic. It digs deep and pushes the dirt up and out to form a a deep channel. You then use it on the other side of your row to get a high hill. It pushes the dirt up about 5 inches higher than the surrounding ground. With just a little work you can make great hills for strawberries, carrots, potatoes or anything else you wish to plant. The deep channel in between can be used for irrigation.
My ground was damp from a thunderstorm two days ago and I had no trouble creating hills. My ground is sandy loamy.
