Haven't been able to use this thing since I received it. The pull cord is stuck and won't allow you to even start it. The good folks at Power Equipment Direct don't care and just refer you to Honda or a repair shop. They got their money so why would they care? I'll never buy from these people again. Machine is still sitting in the shop waiting for Honda to get back with them about a possible camshaft issue. I don't blame PED for the machine not working but I do hold them accountable for not backing what they sell. Lesson learned here, buy local.

Engine-powered equipment cannot be returned once it has been gassed or oiled due to federal shipping regulations. After my 8yr old HRX217 died this replacement is spot on. Honda has an amazing line of mowers, get one before the quit making them. Well worth the money, the only line of mowers I have been using for the past 20yrs.

Very nice mower. Starts first pull every time. Not having to shut it down to empty basket or pause for any reason is an outstanding option. My only negative would be that there should be a height setting between 2.5 and 3. Grass is either on the short side or long side. Still recommend.

Product arrived quickly, undamaged, and was easy to get going in a matter of minutes. Mower cuts well, bags clippings exceptionally well, and it’s a Honda, so if it is maintained properly it should outlast the person behind it. So far so good, but I won’t be able to accurately give a definitive opinion on the mower until I’ve owned it for several years.

I purchased June 2022 this lawn mower based on past reviews but something must have changed along the way. After having it for 4 months using the lawn mower for 2 times a week less than 45 minutes each time. I could not pull the pull start as it seemed it was stuck or there was a lot of back pressure and I ended up breaking the cord. I took it to a Honda certified repair shop after finally getting it registered in December and Honda just approved the warranty repair May 4th so basically out of the 11 mths I’ve owned the machine it was in the shop for 6.5 months.

The shop did a good job fixing it which I was told was replacing the camshaft along with other parts I just hope that the replacement parts installed are going to last longer.

When I spoke with the Honda representative and told them about my experience with this machine and I requested a replacement they told me that would be between the Honda dealer I purchased it from and me as Honda did not sell it to me. I’m not really sure how that works but didn’t seem right.

But just to be clear when this lawn mower is running it is awesome I used it yesterday.

New mower, would not start after oiling and new fuel. Zero help from Mowers Direct, tried to speak with but no reply. I took to a Honda shop, had to have a new carb, took almost a month. Very disappointed in my purchase, would have returned but Mowers Direct would not allow previously oiled and fueled equipment. Never buy from them again!
