Hurricane Florence brought down trees in our backyard. Using the saw was easy and it made quick work on all the trees that were cut.

Awesome Saw!
By Joseph H.

Purchased 10/25/2018 |
Review Posted 12/06/2018
I had bought a Stihl saw several years ago thinking it would be the last saw I would ever need. It turned out to be the worst saw I ever owned! I paid $350 for it and then had to pay to replace the carb and chain oiler system. I finally gave up and ordered this Husqvarna online based on the reviews and some of my friends. It arrived promptly, was completely assembled and ready to use. My son and I used it this week to cut down and cut up about 15 pine trees and it works amazing! Starts so easy and cuts like butter. Now I may have finally found the last saw I will ever buy!

Happy Customer

I have been in need of a chainsaw for awhile now. My son turned me on to this site for one. Well, I can honestly say it was a great experience. Very fast shipping and item arrived just as described. I removed from the box and fueled up and put bar oil in and went to cutting. No problems what so ever and I was surprisingly impressed by how well it cut. Very happy and highly recommended.

My order came very quickly, started first try, runs exactly like it’s supposed to. I own Husqvarna mowers, weed eaters & chainsaws. They are the best out there.

My Black & Decker Out Did This Husqavarna? Yes
By Charles C.

Purchased 03/09/2018 |
Review Posted 06/17/2018
Did not like this chainsaw at all, had a Black & Decker that worked better by far. I thought I was upgrading to a better chainsaw. Nothing but problems! Never again Husqvarna! Crank, crank, crank, finally started, ran for about three minutes, stalled, then crank, crank, crank, at Cetera.

Thank you for your purchase of the 240 chainsaw, but we apologize for the frustration it has caused you. You did buy a quality chainsaw and it should not run as you described. Unfortunately the saw will need to be taken to an Authorized Husqvarna dealer so they can diagnose what the issue is, get it fixed and back to you to use.

Again, we are sorry for the issues you are having, but we do thank you for your business.

Never ran correctly from day 1
By Charles P.
Novelty, Ohio
Purchased 01/28/2018 |
Review Posted 05/21/2018
The chainsaw wouldn’t run from the day I took it out of the box. Chainsaw Direct’s tech service advised me to take it to an authorized dealer. I did. Their report was concerning.

1. Fuel filter installed incorrectly. 2. Carburetor defective. 3. Fuel line improperly installed.

Additionally, Husqvarna hasn’t published a 2018 parts list for this model. Chainsaw Direct said this is between me and the manufacturer.

Poor service. Never buy from these people. They do not stand behind their products.

Apologies on behalf of whoever told you that locating an updated parts list was an issue between you and the manufacturer as this is certainly a situation where we needed to get involved. We have looked into this further and are working with Husqvarna to get the parts list updated so that you may take your chainsaw in for servicing.

This unfortunate circumstance will be resolved shortly and we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly. Thanks for your business and we hope to work with you again in the future.

Thank you for purchasing the 240 Chainsaw, but apologize for the frustrations it has caused. It sounds like there were an issue when assembling the saw. We are glad that you it to an Authorized dealer to get these issues addressed. As for the parts list, there is a current parts list for this unit. Although the list may not say 2018, it is the correct list as there may not have been any changes to the saw the past couple of years, therefore there is not a need to re-write the parts list. If there is an issue or question with the Husqvarna dealer you take your equipment to, please reach out to Chainsaws Direct so they can assist with your questions. Again, sorry for the frustration, but we will fix the saw and get it up and running for you.

Expert Response
We are sorry to hear you have yet to get your unit running. We suggest checking the recommended starting procedures on page 15 of the owners manual or at Pg. 15 of the Owner's Manual. Also, because you have attempted to start the saw already, the cylinder may be full of oil-petrol mix so we advise removing and cleaning the spark plug to remove any oil film before attempting to start it again. If these adjustments do not address the starting issue, the saw is under the factory warranty and should be taken to a certified Husqvarna service center. You may find a listing of service centers located nearest to you HERE. Please feel comfortable to reach out to us directly if you have any questions!

Manufacturer Response
We apologize for the inconvenience that you are having with your chainsaw. As stated before, please make sure you are following the starting procedures correctly. Once all this is done and you can confirm that the spark plug is dry and the cylinder is not flooded with the fuel-oil mix, you should take the chainsaw to a certified Husqvarna servicing dealer to be inspected. There is also a chance that the carburetor may need to be adjusted and this can only be done by an authorized Husqvarna technician.
