The deck belt did come off twice during cutting the lot. The grass was two and a half feet on some of the lots, it did run well, but I did have good back over them twice. Maybe you have some different blades for it? I am using this vacation home, and we only go down two or three times in summer. The motor ran fine but didn't cut all grass on the first pass.

Starts, runs, and cuts nicely. It's surprisingly agile for a tractor, I thought I'd have to buy a push mower for corners and tight spots, but it gets close enough that the string trimmer handles the rest quite well. 54" is probably overkill for my 1/4 acre, but it does the job in 15 minutes flat. Nice, smooth cut, too. Only issue is minor scalping in tight turns, the wheels on the deck don't drop down quite far enough. The electric blade engage is a plus.

Had a little trouble with the mower being damaged during shipping, but the shipping company fixed it within hours and they shipped the new mower out same day. Assembly was simple and easy once mower arrived. It meets all expectations that I had for it. Mower does have more power then expected. It mowed knee high grass with ease as long as I took it slow. Hooked a wagon to the rear and it pulled it no problem. Will be getting the snow blower attach before winter and I expect it to operate it just fine. As long as you use common sense and don’t abuse it, the mower will work for what you need it to do. If you purchase this mower I believe you will like it.

Just received it 10 days ago. It has FOUR hours on it and belt keeps coming off. Was referred to a dealer who said he could pick it up in 2 or 3 weeks but didn't know when they would get to fixing it.

Been running a push mower all of my life, now I can never go back! My only regret is I didn't get a garden tractor instead of a yard tractor so I could use attachments without worry of tearing up the transmission... but I plan to buy one next season!

This replaces my 15-year-old Husqvarna tractor with 600 hrs on it. The larger cutting area is a nice touch and the snow blower attachment sure beats walking behind an Ariens snowblower!!

I've cut lawn grass with it and a very rough/bumpy 6-acre terrain of buffalo grass. The tractor rode smoothly on the lawn and took the beating of the field. I installed mulch blades and never used the standard blades and didn't like that the 3-blade deck left a small line uncut and I had to re-mow over it each run - very inefficient. Yet, the work got done and the mower was solid enough to withstand the varying environments for which I was using it. After the first 10 hours, it starts fast, runs great, is a miser on gas, and seems like it will be a reliable workhorse for years to come.

I got off to a shaky start with Mowers Direct because I live in a rural environment and far from their warehouse in IL. The delivery process was slow. After spending $2k I was concerned when the tracking system showed the product had been delivered... which was to a third party partner shipping company. After addressing the issue with them I was placated and advised that shipment would be completed on Monday. It was.
The invoice advises that the product is carefully inspected on receipt, which one can’t really do as it is delivered in a spiderweb-like crate, which takes a good 45 minutes to break up. The driver had departed by the time I had uncrated the machine, which had paint worn off the body by the mower deck rubbing against the tractor while in transit.
I contacted MD to complain and request they take the machine back. I live in a temperate area where moisture would have rusted that worn area fairly quickly. And this is where MD proved to be a wonderful, consumer orientated company. They offered to send the driver back to collect the machine. Or they offered to send me some money to purchase paint to repair the spot or they would send me the correct paint immediately.
I don't care to paint so wanted to return the machine so they countered with a healthy discount and to send paint, which I accepted. I now hope that I can fix the damaged area without blemish.
The mower was simple enough to attach to the tractor, however, the deck seems low only allowing the use of 5 & 6 blade adjustment heights. I need to do some research on adjusting the deck to use the lower blade heights.

So far this has been a good mower for the price. Covers a lot of ground in a short amount of time. My only real complaint is it seems to have some flex to the frame when going over uneven ground. It doesn’t feel as solid as the John Deere LA115 I used to have. Also, instructions in English would have been a bonus. It wasn’t really an issue. I did a quick Google search and found English instructions.
