I have only 3.5 hours on the mower and the blade belt already broke. I am wondering if there is any warranty on the belt. I thought by spending a little more and upgrading to a Husqvarna mower, that I wouldn't have to be fixing it after the first 3 cuts. So now I have a brand new mower just sitting there until I can get a belt. At this time, I can only give a review of "Disappointed "

I love everything about the mower. The only suggestion I have is the seat needs to move up closer. I am only 4ft 11 1/2". I make it work but it would be more comfortable being able to sit completely in the seat.

Two Things:
1. Wonderful Customer Service from Mowers Direct! I had a self-inflicted issue when using a new Airline Credit Card (dreaming of a post-covid Caribbean Vacation!) which offered me free 6 month interest and then didn't like my lawn tractor purchase. All worked out eventually.
2. Prepare yourself for dealing with issues moving the pallet and removing the tractor from the pallet. This is a monster of a package that you will not move or lift without mechanical assistance! Fortunately, my neighbor has a tractor that moved the skid loaded machine into my work area. THEN, getting it off the skid is very difficult. My solution was to use an antique reciprocating saw inherited from my father to cut out the wood supports piece by piece.
BTW, while I purchased this late season for leaf mulching, I expect superior grass cutting in the Spring as well. I own two other Kawsawki machines....a 20 inch chain saw and 4-wheel drive walk behind and can attest to their beefy capabilities, as well as a tow behind brush cutter with a similar Kohler engine.

First riding mower. Did alot of research. Wanted the 42 inch, fabricated deck, I am in a sandy area, and wanted Kawasaki engine. Chose tractor over zero turn for my yard and other possibilities.

The TS 242 XD ride mower is a great choice for those who want the expected reliability of Kawasaki engines but have limited garage or storage space. This unit replaces my Greenworks Pro 60V push mower, specifically for fall leaf pickup. The mower made the pain of fall leaf pickup fun!
