Shouldn't have to replace the transmission before the second oil change. Bought three years plus 3 weeks before tranny went and just out of 3 year warranty. I do live and mow on a hill but this tractor has locking differential rear wheels built for inclines. After some research, it appears the required maintenance intervals and oil type recommended by Tuff-Torq are not only followed but designed out of the unit.
Would not buy a Husqvarna again.

I purchased tailgate service with the mower and was shocked that the driver was not able to get it off the back of the truck easily. He got one side of the carton on the road and used the pallet jack to pull until the other side fell from truck level to the pavement. When I opened the carton I inspected and found no obvious damage. After doing the transmission purge as per manual and checked oil I started it up, A puff of white smoke came from the engine. This being a new engine I assumed all was still OK. Every time I start the mower now in cold weather I get another puff of smoke also I am losing a little oil. Making sure to check before every use and topping off to the full level I still get the white smoke on cold day starts. I have emailed the folks at Mowers Direct and I must say they have gotten back to me promptly every time concerning this situation. They told me this situation is common with a new engine and if after 4 hours of use the situation is OK I will be delighted to give this mower 5 stars across the board by way of my review

A beautiful tractor that performs above expectations. The only complaint was after first pass, I took the mower and went to back up front wheel fell off .. after inspection, no one put e-clip on the shaft only two washers were under rubber dust cap.

Purchased it a few weeks ago, and it has worked well so far. It has good power, traction and speed on hills. Deck needed to be leveled after shipping but has cut well since then.
