Solid Well Built Mower
By Jason G.
Birch Run, Michigan
Purchased 09/15/2020 |
Review Posted 10/07/2020
The mower exceeded my expectations. The Briggs and Stratton just powers threw. It's very easy to operate. If you ride a hilly yard the tires have to be at 10 psi, not the recommended 15 for traction. Other than that, it's a great mower.

This a mowing machine. It can cover a lot of ground in a hurry. It can mow just about any grass condition. I have to remind myself it is not a bush hog. It’s worth every penny!

I needed a commercial level mower within a specific budget and this was the best I found after an extensive search. Unfortunately, the belt failed after four hours of use, but the problem appeared to be the belt, not the machine.

Think Carefully About Your Needs & Terrain
By Steve T.

This lawnmower is a beast. Acceleration, power, all there. However, zero turn requires a peculiar technique that takes time and patience to learn -there are no brakes- . The machine is LOUD and vibrates a lot. I laughed considering the cupholder. Don't think you can consume a beverage during the operation.
If you have relatively flat (and dry) terrain and a lot of it. This machine is ideal. If your terrain is steep, with boggy areas, reconsider. At 950 lbs with rider, you can get stuck (and getting 'unstuck' is a horror). Slightly slick areas will leave you with 6 to 9 foot long skids of destroyed grass (you often wont even be aware you don't have traction and are spinning). And if your property is steep, get the roll bar.

Questionable Mower
By J. R.
Dover, Tennessee
Purchased 07/10/2018 |
Review Posted 07/17/2018
Received the MZ61 in the crate, when finally got it out, looked pretty good. However, the hydraulic fluid was low in the machine, so I filled it (no big deal). Finally started cutting and was working better than I could have hoped for, then the blades quit turning. Shut off the blades, turned them back on, and nothing. Took the mower to the driveway to check the belts, and it was off. No big deal I thought, things happen. Took off the cover shields to put the belt back on, and to my surprise, I was missing a pulley. Backtracked and found it on the ground where it had quit cutting, but no bolt to be found. THOROUGHLY CHECK ALL NUTS, BOLTS, AND FLUIDS WHEN YOU RECEIVE ONE! Will see how this is handled and may adjust my review afterward.

Expert Response
We are sorry to hear about the low hydraulic fluid and loose pulley and understand your frustration. It sounds like your MZ61 may be running as expected after the adjustments, but is there anything else we can help with? If you have yet to locate/replace the missing bolt you mentioned, we will be more than happy to send one out.
Again, please reach out to us directly if you have any questions or additional concerns and we will be happy to help. Your business is greatly appreciated and we hope to work with you again soon.

Arrived With Blown Fuse
By Andrea D.

Purchased 05/06/2018 |
Review Posted 06/11/2018
The lawnmower arrived with a blown fuse. The lawnmower wouldn't even turn over, so I had to have it hauled at my own expense to a dealer who could figure out what was wrong with it. So before I even got to use it I had to spend more money on it. It is working now. The steering bars are a bit stiff but I haven't really looked into seeing why yet.
