We are supplying power to a 3 hp well pump filling a pond. We have run it for 3 hours straight so far. Next week we will run it almost all week long, about 8 hours a day to fill the pond.

i started out looking at lower priced units but after some research decided this unit with AVR was a better option. As previously stated I was a little surprised by the small size of the unit but it appears to be well build and after a very short run-in i have had no problems. Time will tell but so far I am happy with the product and very impressed with "Electric Generators Direct" personnel.

Generator works fine. A couple of things to note
1. The frequency, voltage, amp draw gauges don't seem to be accurate
A. Frequency gauge may be green, but voltage is too low ( per the generator gauges)
B. I can't get frequency to be consistent at 60hz when testing with two different hand held multimeters, but generator frequency meter is in the green.

I purchased this unit to power my home in an emergency. I did not want a chinese made brand. While IMD may be an American company, the generator, gearbox and drive-shaft are all made in Italy. The only US part of the setup is the 3 point bracket. All this being said, Everything from the purchase, packing, delivery and assembly was flawless and easy. And it works superbly. My Kubota B2320 drives it easily, and it powers my whole house including my well pump. All in all I'm still quite happy.

My New PTO 10-2SAVR

Once my generator was delivered, I was surprised on how small it was. I was almost discouraged by its size until I picked it up. I then felt, by its weight, that I had purchased quality.
After I unpacked the generator I built my frame using 2” x 2” x ¼” angle iron (extra heavy duty), bolted the generator onto it and cut the drive shaft to the correct length. Next I filled the gearbox with gear lube and connected it to the tractor. I then started my tractor, engaged the PTO and watched all of the lights on the LED meter light up.
I increased the RPM’s on my tractor and watched the lights on the hertz meter light up to the green light. It was easy to figure out that the green light on the Hertz meter indicates the correct RPM’s. Lastly I plugged in a grinder just to test it, and perfect. Now I have to light a fire under my electrician to get the house wired and hope the power goes out.
I am extremely satisfied with the quality of my new generator. I spent a little more on this one because it is made here in the US and am glad that I did. The quality of the materials used and the workmanship were well worth the added cost.
