I already wrote a review, but I keep getting e-mails to write a review...there were a few more things I wanted to mention, so ok.
It's been about a month and a half and my unit is still running top-notch, I did the " no no " of changing the pressure switch kick-off point, but I figured it was ok because I lowered it to 130psi, not increased it, because I am still on the 20A temporary construction breakout.
It looks like they came out with a new drive guard, I like the look of the new style, and wonder if it's easier to do belt adjustments with the new style guard...
I did an initial belt adjustment. Don't assume any air compressor comes from the factory with the drive system properly aligned and I generally error a touch to the slack side of the tension spec in favor keeping the belt and pullies clean, because I would rather change a belt than have my motor drive side bearing fail. ( possibly causing sparks in the motor )
This compressor has stainless steel valves, but not stainless steel valve plates, so the review there a victim of humid air, which, in Wisconsin, makes me feel like that may become a service interval at some point for me also.
Just make sure you do your initial drive belt alignment and a textbook or better break in, or problems will crop up much sooner than later.
Still no problems here.

Best Air Compressor I Have Ever Owned

This was the only vertical air compressor, with the needed performance specs, that would fit under the upper gangway in the shop I am building... I think the short chubby tank, in a powerful vertical, was a really good move by Industrial Air
I wired in a 30 amp plug on 12/3 SJ and took it through the half hour break in..then I drained the pump and reloaded it with 30W air compressor oil, and ran a second half-hour break-in/flush.
Then I took the drain plug off the drain pipe, (because the whole pipe kept coming out ), put a 3/8 NPT elbow on the oil drain pipe with JB-Weld tipped the compressor back, cleaned the threads, and put JB-Weld on those threads also, then tightened it to about 60 ft.lbs.,and got a 3/8" pipe plug to go up into the elbow...
Put in some fresh full synthetic 30W non-detergent, and took it up to 100psi, (because I am on just a 20A double pole at the moment ), and shut it off...3 hours later it was still at 100psi...
Fairly smooth, and very strong compressor...It loads the tank quickly and I can't wait to get it off the temporary construction break out and onto its own 30A...
Thanks Air Compressors Direct.

Bad electric motors
By Scott H.
Wray, Colorado
Review Posted 11/16/2014
I had this air compressor for six months. It worked great until the electric motor shot sparks out and stopped working. Industrial Air warrantied the motor. Took two weeks to get it. Now after four months this motor acts as if it barely has enough power to run the pump. I'm not happy with this product. DO NOT BUY this compressor.

Compressor not working

Had compressor for one year and it worked well and air volume was excellent. Quit pumping on one cylinder and found that all the valve plates were rusted and valve not sealing. Cannot find parts.
