I’m the owner of American Mushroom & Spice Co in Bloomington Indiana. We purchased the 404 unit and it works great. We are pushing the limits of the system. We are lifting water 16 feet up and 55 feet over to another building where it connects to the sewage main trunk. We are seeing 12.5 GPH under the above conditions. We did not like the stock check valve because we didn’t think it would handle the pressure at that depth. We used a Lowe’s check valve that is cemented into the piping as opposed to the clamp style included with our unit. Other than that all is working wonderful. Oh, this unit will move whole grains that are sometimes washed out in the commercial kitchen discharge water. Bravo on making a fine grey water lift pump system!

The unit came ready to connect to the sink drain pipe. It could not be easier. Bought the PVC pipe from a local store, cut it to size and connected to the sink drain and sewer line. An additional connection was made to the vent pipe. Plugged it in and it was ready to go

This Liberty Pump Model 404 was to replace another earlier model made by the same company. I had such great performance with the old one and when I was told it no longer was a valid model and had been replaced by
this model I was reassured that the improvements were tremendous. The old model was a 3hp and noisy. This new Model 404 is energy efficient at 1/3 hp and quieter. I purchased the better silent valve check for this and it's absolutely wonderful. It goes on and shuts off with no hesitation a smooth sounding piece of equipment and American made! I'm confident it will serve me well in the years to come.

First let me start by saying that before I ordered this pump I bought a Flotec pump from amazon that was a direct replacement for my failed one. The Flotec showed up at my house and the box was covered in oil, opening it I discovered the pump housing was cracked and had leaked oil all over. Returned the pump and ordered this one from PED, was shipped promptly and had it installed the next day. Plugged it in and no dice! So i re checked all of my plumbing as i had to make some changes from the Flotec setup... everything was good on my end. Figured i would open up the pump housing to check it out and upon removal of the cover on the bottom of the pump I realized there was no impeller installed on the pump!!!! Doesn't do much good for pumping water with no impeller! So four days later I got my third pump and installed it. Works good
