My other little giant pump had stopped working after 8 years of dependable service. So I needed another one. Little Giant filled the bill. Easy to install and I probably saved myself $200.00 if I had to pay to have it installed. Thanks again. Your products are great and dependable.

I haven't installed the pump yet. I bought it as a replacement for an older Little Giant water pump that was originally installed with my new furnace over 15 years ago which I thought was starting to sound a little strange last year.
So far I haven't heard any of the strange noises, so am not anxious to make a change, but expect to do so in the next couple of weeks. With my old Little Giant, it was easy to take apart to clean out the inside.
I'm disappointed in the new one in that I don't think that the entire top can come off for a thorough annual cleaning. Can some sort of chlorine tablets be used to prevent mold or algae growth?
Dropping in a tablet would be easier than cleaning, but with my old pump I was told not to use any chlorine bleach. Is this still true with the new pump?

Expert Response
Actually, the base does separate from the top of the pump easy enough for cleaning. Just push in on the black side of the base and the top unclips.
If you want to run bleach through the system I would definitely recommend diluting it first. And I probably would stay away from tablets as they could damage the internal parts of the pump.

Bought For A Replacement

This is a replacement pump (for the internal pump) for a small stand alone (clear) ice machine. The pump came as advertised with the tubing included. Installation went really well. The pump is really quiet and works well. The external pump cost was 1/4 the cost of the original internal pump which was really noisy!!!
THANKS for a great product and prompt service!!
