I have had mine bolted inside my closed trailer for years. I have used running 3 air chisels doing foundations chipping for 12 hours a day for months at 90° temps at a time. ZERO ISSUES. Only downfall is the small tank. If you can get an 80-gallon volume tank it would be the best if the best

Works Great For My Need

Finally got a chance to put this machine to use. I do spray foam and this thing worked flawlessly. I have only 1 complaint and that this is not easy to pull start. The engine has a lot of compression. I start it off a battery so this starts right up that way, the first crack of the key the engine comes to life. Very minimal vibration. One thing I will have to add seeing as I run it for 8hrs at a time is a bigger gas tank

Idle cable pulled out of the cheap pot metal end piece that connects to idle arm, “bullwhip”, works good, but had to bend cable to fit on idler arm, rt. off the bat when started using it.

Throttle Issues
By Lee W.
Cañon City, Colorado
Purchased 08/24/2018 |
Review Posted 11/01/2018
I am happy with almost everything. The only issues I have are with the throttle. The first day the linkage broke, which was minor, I just can't the flimsy end into as hook like most others are and did a little soldering to help build it.
The next issue which has been persistent that started at about 2 weeks after. When I run the compressor. When I'm using it and the pressure drops, kicking on the engine from idle, it won't fully throttle up. So if I'm doing anything intensive like a sprinkler blowout, I have to walk back to the compressor to manually push the throttle the rest of the way.
The 2 issues aren't linked far as I can tell because there was a gap of things working correctly before the 2nd issue began

Better Warranty, Lower Overall Height, & Better Price

The Ingersoll unit has been the industry standard for quite some time now and has always been my go-to for solid air compressors that hold their value. I think they are leaning too hard on their household name status to not realize that competitors are making superior products.
This MAXair compressor is 2.5" shorter in overall height than the Ingersoll unit which is almost perfect for trying to keep this compressor underneath the cab roof line and out of the wind when using utility body pickups. Better warranty than the Ingersoll still uses Honda reliable engines, and over $200 less than the Ingersoll... It was a no-brainer. We have two now in the Fleet and I am a fan.

I'm sorry you felt there were delivery problems, but with respect- I didn't see any on your file.
We say this unit ships from the manufacturer in 2 to 5 business days (Monday thru Friday, excluding holidays). This is the time it takes to leave the manufacturer's dock, it isn't the delivery time.
You ordered your unit on Friday, 10/14; it was picked up at the manufacturer's on Tuesday, 10/18- only 2 business days since you had placed your order. The freight company delivered it on 10/19, the very next day! It helped that you were close to the factory; obviously it would take longer if it had to ship farther away.
Start to finish, getting your air compressor took 3 business days- that is as fast as it gets.

Have only used once so far, but used it for continuous cutting of 1/2" plate steel with a Powermax 1000 plasma cutter, and the compressor kept up easily and cycled on and off during cuts.
Very Impressed so far.

No trouble keeping up with 1" impact
By Joe LeB.

Purchased 04/08/2013 |
Review Posted 05/22/2013
I really like the compressor- it has no trouble keeping up with a one inch impact wrench.
The only thing I didn't like was the belt guard makes too much noise and the outlet valve was broke. Other than that I would recommend this to anyone.
