MTM Hydro 1/4" F (4.5) Laser Fixed Sewer Jetter Nozzle

Blasted through tough material in a clogged septic field.

Nozzle does work well, but it is recommended to 4000 psi...2300 psi that I used is less than should be used. I can't rate accurately based on I should have a higher p.s.i. washer. The nozzle did wash out mud just fine...

A sewer drain that clogs and was serviced for the clogs for over a decade was solved in one cleaning with the MTM Hydro.

The drain was unusual that the main was over 400' away from the home, built with clay pipe, and is over 65 years old. I decided to let PED give this clog a try since ten years of snaking the line never solved the problem. The MTM Hydro 4.5 Fixed Nozzle released the 4 clogs in the line.

The MTM Hydro 4.5 Rotating Nozzle cleaned the clay pipe and pvc repairs so that a camera sent down the line was easily installed and followed the clean line 400' to the sewer main giving the homeowner the piece of mind that the PED Sewer Jet completely cleared his line and restored the full opening of the home's drain line.

The pressure washer I used was a 2800 psi. This nozzle will work well with any pressure washer within its rating.

Worked fine.

Not a end all one quick fix multi tool just to be clear.

As I am using a 4000 PSI pump, caution and care must be exercised with this tool at all times.

You positively want to be sure you never have a total 100% blockage and start with this tool unless you plan on dealing with a potential massive, gross, and very ugly flood situation in your home or business.

SNAKE your drains first if you are solid blocked up and run a little lye based industrial strength drain cleaner followed by boiling hot water first to get some flow in the pipes first !!!

AFTER you have established some flow, then you are ready for hydro jetting with this tool and get the job finished to a higher, or up to a full flow rate.

Start with your MAIN sewer connect FIRST, always, to be sure you are working with a cleared main drain system. Then STEP your way back methodically into the properties internal sewer system plumbing so you are purging all that water into a cleared and open sewer system main line.

Even though I followed my own rules, after clearing the main sewer system line, my next step back into the nearest internal sewer connection nearly flooded my kitchen in about 2 minutes or less of jetting with nasty pitch black, foul, nasty sewer water from the washing machine shared sewer connection with my kitchen sink. The kitchen sinks were 1" from overflow when I shut off the pressure washer pump pushing out 3.4 GPM.

I had to SNAKE, lye chemical purge, hot water purge, add more lye cleaner, re-snake, then run more hot water to get enough flow to jet the lines.

After this procedure, much use of my wet vacuum to suck up 5 to 7 gallons of the most horrid smelling back flow of filthy black sewer water, SUCCESS!!!

As plumbers can charge up to $300.00 an hour in my area for such sewer work to be performed, I was happy to have had the tools to get the job done right and avoided a very horrible WHEN not IF flood in my house by attacking the sewer drain problem and nipping it in the bud "before it became an emergency flood disaster" for us to deal with.

Bottom line: This jet head, used properly, at the appropriate point in a drain/sewer system clearing process, is worth it's weight in pure gold and then some.

This jet did finish the job and got my 55 year old drain system cleared and working like a champ again.
