The Cover Is Flimsy

After five times of use, the bottom of the cover has holes in it and is tearing away from the frame.

Just to let everyone know if you purchase this item you will fall in love immediately. No more raking leaves in the yard or grass clippings, just hook it up and ride while it does the dirty, hot, sweaty work for you. Dumping is easy and the large capacity is really great, yard debris, pine cones, pine needles, paper, etc. All go into the hopper and then you simply dump it for compost or a cozy bonfire.

Pros: Definitely better than raking, solid construction
Cons: Hard to adjust so the brushes pick up the debris, but the bottom of the hamper does not hit the ground and dump out the contents hard to dump, even when half full can’t fill to capacity string gets easily sucked into brushes if you aren’t paying attention
Long story short, glad I bought it. May work better with more operator experience.

Shipment came in early and I was excited to try it out. The assy instructions were easy to follow and had it put together in no time. We mow about two acres of ground and the grass was getting extremely thick. After a couple of mowings, prior to receiving the lawn sweeper, the dead grass was balling up everywhere. We had a lot of dead grass to remove from the yards. I hooked up to the lawn sweeper and went to work. I am SO GLAD to have purchased the 50-inch sweeper. The bag holds 26 sq. feet of grass. I had eight loads total when done sweeping all the yards. It worked great! I highly recommend the 50-inch sweeper if you have a lot to mow. Mowers Direct sales rep was very nice and helpful.
