Wired to the Diagram on the motor and it would not pump. Reversed motor and it works.
Instructions should say that motor needs to run reverse.

Very Reliable Pump

This is the little pump that can - we bought a house last spring and it has a shallow well 25 feet and the water level is at 15 feet - the former owners used a 5 hp gas honda pump to flood the lawns once a week - we installed a 10 zone underground sprinkler system with a rain bird controller and no other electric pumps would even bring the water up out of the well - the gas one would work but someone had to be there to start it and gas it up - we ran the 220 volt leg and installed the pacer pump and away we went - full pressure in seconds and has ran all summer with no issues - great pump great price

This pump was purchased new and wired backwards. We waited several days to receive it and when we got it, it ran opposite of what it should have. We couldn't wait days for another one so we fixed it ourselves. It runs as it should now.

Cathy,
We do not wire the motors and when they are received they are not wired to anything. . We always recommend professional installation on these models by a certified electrician. If they are wired incorrectly it could cause premature failure or in your case the rotation will be reversed. There is a wiring diagram in the wire compartment, but if you need a more detailed one we can provide you with that. For any more information please reach out to us.

Pond is full
By Daniel T.
Minor Hill, Tennessee
Purchased 06/12/2015 |
Review Posted 07/08/2015
I have a one acre pond in my front yard that relies only upon runoff to supply water. I dropped the pacer pump into a nearby stream and the pond was back to full level in less than four days.
The level had dropped about 3- 3 1/2 feet. I was very impressed with its performance. Using the 230v hookup to this Baldwin electric motor proved to be a very cost efficient method to getting water in the pond and doing so fast.

Pump For Recurculation
By Jim C.

Purchased 04/16/2013 |
Review Posted 05/28/2013
Its a good pump but the product that I have pumping through it is a little more thicker than water, so the pump isn't moving the product like we had thought. Not sure yet what we are going to do about it.

Product Questions
Answered by Jim, the Water Pump Expert
Hi Jim Is it okay to have the input 2 inch in and reduce the output to a 1 1/2? that would probably increase the PSI a little bit more too, right? or do I have to match both input and output with the same size hose? Thank you.
