It's A Pump And It Moves Water, So It Does The Job.
By James R.

Review Posted 10/19/2020
The pump is a small one, with a magnetic impeller that should be fairly trouble-free if the water is kept clean. The 1/4" hose adapter that shipped with it as an extra is totally useless, as it would require ANOTHER adapter to make it fit the pump outlet. Fortunately I didn't need it. I'd recommend this to someone who needs to move a small amount of water, enough for a desktop fountain, or to supply cooling water to a glass saw blade (my intended use). It plugs directly into an electrical outlet, so does not require a step-down transformer, but because of that it should probably not be used for a pet drinking fountain where water might be splashed around.

My former pump bit the dust. I was reluctant to attempt replacing it but I love my little fountain on the porch. Pump arrived promptly and well packaged. It was easy to replace, and the adjustable valve is perfect. It's better than the original pump because I could bring the water pressure down to an "easy spitting frog" instead of it splattering all over the porch. If I ever need another fountain pump, I'll be sure to purchase from this company.

Great all around pump for small fountain applications. Adapted well to existing flow tubing with the universal fitting which came with the pump. Once submerged, water flow began immediately and flow rate is adjustable. Quiet operation.

The Pondmaster SP-70
By Eugene H.
Shelburne, Vermont
Purchased 08/15/2019 |
Review Posted 09/07/2019
The Pondmaster SP-70 - 70 GPH Magnetic Drive Submersible Fountain Pump with an adjustable flow rate provided exactly what I needed to create a continuous flow of heated water to my pool using a minimum amount of electricity. Using 1/2 inch plastic tubing the 1/2 inch pump output was easily converted over to a standard garden hose connection for maximum output distribution flexibility.
