This is a great starter kit for anyone entering the business. Everything that comes in this kit would be valued at far more if it were purchased separately. Spend the extra money to get the CAT pump rather than the General Pump. The only downside is that all the connectors are brass and if you are running SH through the downstreamer, the brass will corrode quickly. You will need to get stainless steel to change out your fittings.

I haven't had this Pressure washer 6-7 months and today on a job the CAT pump completely starts going out. Please understand I baby my equipment and take good care of it. I made sure the residence I was at had more than sufficient water flow for my 4gpm pressure washer, trouble shot everything, etc to no avail. CAT pumps have an excellent reputation and all I can think is I've received a lemon.
Please help me to resolve this matter PWD. From what I understand my pump is still under a two year warranty with CAT. I run a small lawn/Pressure wash business and my Pressure Washer has to be back up ASAP!

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with your CAT pump. To get the fastest assistance, please contact the Tech Support folks at CAT directly at (763) 780-5440 from 8am to 5pm Central time, Monday thru Friday. Please have the serial number of your pump handy when you call them- it really speeds up the process.
They will help you troubleshoot your pump, and if need be refer you to service in your area. If there is more than one Authorized Factory Service location in your area you may want to call them to see which one can get the repair done fastest.

I wanted to put some hours on this equipment before writing a review, and I have done approx 70 hours with it to this point. The machine runs and performs flawlessly. Easy to start, easy to maintain, light enough for me to pick up when necessary and not as noisy as some others I have owned.
The included accessories perform well, but I have had an issue with "O" rings blowing out on the 18 ft telescopic wand, 3 so far with less than one hour on this piece. I also blew an "O" ring on the pressure line coupler. Luckily I purchased a pack of "O" rings to carry in the truck, so I was able to get back up and running in just a few minutes. Overall I would highly recommend this product.

Have been using pressure washers for over 20 years. This unit has increased my productivity. I am getting more jobs and doing them faster than ever. The power is scary, afraid I might cut a finger or toe off if I slip with the wand. Only downfall is the amount of gas it uses, roughly 3 hrs per tank full. But the speed it washes helps.
I love being able to dial down the pressure for the more gentle cleanings, decks, roofs, ect... I bought this unit to replace my 1993 5 hp 2000 psi unit. It was a Honda motor with a Cat pump, and it still is running strong. So I hope this unit will last the next 20 years, it should.

This is a nice machine. I have used others in the past and this one is easy to start, easy to maneuver, light enough I can lift it myself and put it in the back of my truck or take it out, it has a wide variety of attachments available and puts out enough pressure to clean most surfaces quickly and easily.
The unit is a bit pricey but I think it's a good deal for everything that comes with it. should be able to get my ROI pretty quickly with this machine.

I have had this machine since 10/08/10 and have over $3500 worth of work to do before 10/27/10 booked.
This unit is THE workhorse of small PW units with all the TOP components that have long term use in mind.
