The only thing I noticed is that the sump pump sounds like the blades are hitting the side of the pump, noisy. Is this normal?

Replaced PHCC 1730 that was 10 years old and wasn’t compatible with a closed cell marine battery. The alarm would sound all throughout the night. I called my foundation company who installed my sump and backup. They could not fix the alarm issue I called Sump Pumps Direct and spoke with a rep who was fantastic and walked me through the issues, a solution and how to hook it all up and save some money. Thank you so much!

Nice system, well documented, easy to install. Can't evaluate performance as it hasn't been required yet but overall looks good. Three days after it was delivered, saw the exact same system at big box store for $50 less than I paid.. :-(((

Rated it a 4 for now because the product was just installed by a contractor, and we have had limited time with it. The contractor didn't have any problems with the installation onto the existing sump pump even though we have very limited space. Of course, we haven't had the need for it to run just yet and hopefully won't, but it worked fine after being installed when it was tested.

Just received the product and installed it. The product looks and feels well-made. The product manual is well-written, so installation was easy. It is testing fine. Luckily, and in spite of having bad weather, we have not have any power failure since the installation. So it has not been put to real use yet.

I was getting a lot of water flowing into my sump basin and concerned since we have a finished basement. I was able to get a recommendation of a pump and monitoring system, along with a maintenance free (AGM) battery from a very knowledgeable and helpful staff person. He asked appropriate questions to make sure the level of pump would work and was able to also make sure that I got a system that could be upgraded to be able to notify me when I was away from home if there was a problem.
System arrived in several days. When I called back to ask a couple questions about hooking things up, I got a different staff person who was also very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, and able to answer all my questions. Excellent products and customer service. (I rated Performance a 4 since the test worked. Won't know it's a 5 until an emergency but suspect it will be.)

I would definitely recommend this pump. It is a little expensive but worth the price. The batter backup controls are simple and work well. I like that it can be upgraded later if need be. The pump housing is all plastic so I was a little uneasy, but after testing it a few times I'm happy with it. The pump can empty my pit in about 17 sec. Too bad you can't change the default run time as it runs about 45 sec. regardless if the pit is empty or not.
The shipping package was a little inadequate but overall undamaged.
