The Best

I have two of these, and get enough water both need to run at the same time sometimes. These things don't quit, and my first pro series pump I bought 7 years ago is still an absolute champ. I wouldn't buy anything else, as I've gone through other brands that are supposedly quality but not any to take the beating these can.

Great Pump For The Price
By Michael S

Review Posted 06/29/2022
Been a big fan of the Pro Series and have the need for a healthy pump as we have two pits that are very active when it rains.

This was a well priced 1/2 HP pump that dropped right in to replace one of my older ones, still working fine, but 10 years old, so preventative replacement.

I like the dual float switch and it came with a an adapter from 2" to 1.5" pipe.

New installation, has been activated a couple times with light rain, we'll see when it really comes down. It's backed up by a Pro Series battery back up pump system as well.

This Pump Saved My Rear End!
By Frank Q.

Review Posted 09/02/2021
I have 2 different Pro Series Models in my sump pit - (1) is a 1/3 hp and (2) is the 1/2 hp. The 1/2 hp is the work horse and it moves a high volume of water and is extremely durable. Hurricane Ida his Pennsylvania last night and dumped 8 inches of rain in 4 hours. The flooding was horrendous but my basement remained dry. I did baby-sit them to ensure there wasn't debris in the float but they never stopped running. In my opinion, the pump is excellent, the float is also excellent. I will be replacing my 1/3 hp pump with a 1hp. You always need to plan for the horrendous storms and anything less than that, you're good to go.

Worked great for 10 years. Started making strange noise and realized it rusted through. Still kept working though. Bought it again since it is a great price performance. Only half cast iron though and it rusted out right where it isn't cast iron. Super fast shipping. I love Sump Pumps Direct.com website.

I've used pro series pumps for years. These are the pumps I use when my clients are pro active, give me a heads up and I can order them. When it's not a emergency situation.

Strong Pump That’s Oiless
By Timothy R.
Cloudcroft, New Mexico
Purchased 06/24/2020 |
Review Posted 07/21/2020
I am using this 1/2 hp sump pump in my rain harvesting system. The water collection from my house and shop roofs runs into a sump pit from where I use the ProSeries pump to transfer water into storage tanks with a total capacity of 18,000 gallons. The sump pump allows a completely autonomous system and handles the inflow from the various roofs very well. It is also an oiless pump so I don’t have to worry about contaminating my stored water. The stored rainwater is used to irrigate a vegetable garden and fruit trees. I highly recommend this pump manufacturer and Sump Pumps Direct. Fast delivery at a reasonable price!

Sales Rep Won't Return Emails

I have not installed these yet so can't talk about performance. Pretty sure these pumps will work out as advertised. It is too bad I can't get the sales rep that sold me these to return my emails.

Pumps A Lot Of Water
By Lawrence S.
New Lenox, Illinois
Purchased 10/01/2019 |
Review Posted 10/23/2019
I ordered the 1/2 hp pump to pump a lot of water out of sump. Normally a 1/3 hp pump will do the job, but when we have an excessive amount of rain coming, this is the pump I’ll use. As long as you have somewhere to pump the water and are not just recycling it, this will keep your basement dry. Have my pumps with pvc pipe etc. all ready to go in pit. Prefer the better float controller, so I can use an alarm.

Workhorse and Quiet
By Alex P.

Review Posted 06/21/2018
Quality, solid construction. Installed 2 of these 1/2 hp units for basements lying in a high water table area. Replaced old sump pumps that run very often (every 3 minutes). Read the reviews and liked that these are energy efficient which means lower electric cost. I was able to locate the dual float switch for optimal kick on. It's strong and silent. Installed one with a reduced 1 1/2 inch discharge with a 6' vertical lift. The second one is connected to the standard 2 inch discharge with 5' vertical and 20' horizonal length and handles it with no problem. Highly recommend these. Like the fact it's backed by a 18 month warranty and it is continuous-run rated if needs be. Only negative is that both the boxes it came in was destroyed/torn so I take it that packaging of these heavy product needs to be better like more taping. I'm sure that will be addressed when they read my review.
