Easy to Install Yourself
By Noah E.

Review Posted 10/06/2015
I installed the unit on two separate days the box outside and wiring and then the transfer box and wiring. The 2nd day total about 2 and a half hours.
Fired up the generator and fliped the switchs its so nice to be able to have power in an emergency with out cords all over the floor.

POWER OUTAGES MADE EASY

Excellent companion to my portable generator. No more fumbling with wires in the house during a power outage. Just plug the generator into the convenient outside receptacle and flip the transfer control switches inside the house to be ready to continue as if nothing bad had occurred.
Still got heat, fridge, microwave, lights, etc. Highly recommended! By the way, delivery was FAST!!! The next time you drag all those wires to all your appliances, you'll remember what I wrote... get one NOW !!

Review Posted 03/15/2015
Wanted to upgrade from a single transfer switch to a 6 circuit switch. Web order arrived sooner than expected.
The instructions and video were excellent and was able to install switch in less time than I expected.
I'm ready for the next power outage.

Second transfer switch I have installed, and the instructions were dead on. Took me about an hour, counting fitting location support bd and connecting it all. I am not an electrician but I worked as Jr Electrician 40 years ago and understand how to deal with power (still alive). I did the install with main's cut off and it was just 2-wires per circuit. Finding the best knock out to attach was the most time consuming and I was spanning 2 - 200a boxes so there was some cross ties needed. Other than that very easy and even my wife can now switch over power.

Everything You Need To Hook Up Your Generator
By David H.
Quinlan, Texas
Purchased 12/11/2013 |
Review Posted 01/04/2014
Counting figuring out what circuits to put on the generator and then finding which breaker controls them, I had my generator wired to my house in about 4 hours with this kit. The only regret I have is that I should have bought an eight-circuit version, instead of the six-circuit unit. Although six circuits seemed appropriate for a 40 amp generator, actual use in my situation indicates eight circuits would be a better choice.
