The Perfect Solution
By Petersek
Virginia
Purchased 10/10/2024 |
Review Posted 11/02/2024
This is a great, reasonably priced option for safely transferring power between the mains and a generator. The only complaint I have is the force required to move the transfer actuator is fairly high, making it difficult for some folk to move (my wife). A small handle or knob would help.

Excellent Product At Great Price

We have installed many generator transfer switch/panels, this was by far the best. Nice to have the VA meters on each line so the homeowner can monitor and regulate the loads. Worked just fine, will buy these again, from Electric Generators Direct.

Great Transfer Switch Sub Panel
By jcsc
South Carolina
Review Posted 10/31/2022
This seems like a well built panel but one of the two screws securing the plastic bus assembly to the case had fallen out and down in the panel. I replaced it with a nut and bolt. The cover has to mount flush with the breakers slightly proud as the transfer switch hardware bar that slides back and forth slightly overlaps the edge of the case. But everything works great. I used 2 gage copper service entry to a 100 amp breaker, then moved circuit breakers from the main panel to this one. Siemens tandem breakers work great as well as GE regular breakers that I happened to have. It's been in service for over two weeks and no problems at all and so nice being able to change over to generator power without risk of back feeding main panel or generator.

Good basic manual transfer switch panel. Well laid out and easy to implement for anyone with installation and wiring skills. Having CTs and meters is definite plus!

Just Got This Switch But Is Working Great Under Testing
By Jesse N.

The watt meters (for me) should be capable of reading up to maximum output. I like that you only need to flip from main power to generator with one application.

Good Generator Panel
By Bob T.
Clinton, South Carolina
Purchased 08/10/2020 |
Review Posted 09/22/2020
Good panel. Easy to work with. Reasons I did not rate it excellent on everything is one: Price has dramatically increased in the last few years. Two: The center divider that separates the breakers is not attached at the bottom and flops around when trying to install the cover. Three: The label on the door is upside down when the door is reversed for opening purposes.

Perfect setup for a Manual Transfer Panel/Switch
By Ralph B.
Sacramento, California
Purchased 06/16/2020 |
Review Posted 07/21/2020
First, I was very impressed with the quality that Reliance puts into this panel. It has a copper buss, Watt meters for the generator leads and a quality mechanism that operates the 100 and 50 Amp breakers so that one turns off while the other is being energized. Also included was main lugs on the panel buss, which is exactly what I needed in order to have another load center connected to it for generator power.

The sheet metal fabrication and finish on this panel are excellent. I like setting up my manual transfer panels with this panel because I am not confined to just a 30 amp load like the pre-wired emergency panels that you commonly see.

Great Panel For A Manual Switched Home Generator.
By Kevin K.
PICKENS, South Carolina
Purchased 04/15/2020 |
Review Posted 05/06/2020
Loads of space inside for wiring and many extra ground and neutral screws. It takes tandem type breakers so you can have up to 20 circuits if you want. This panel was easy installation and wiring. The watt-meters are a great feature for seeing the load and any imbalance.

Can this panel accept slimline or tandem breakers? If not do you have a panel that can accommodate 16 breakers? Thanks
