Remington RM0612P Reviews & Ratings
Poor quality
By Kenneth R.

Review Posted 10/12/2011
Purchased my RM0612P Branch Wizard last Fall, but did not begin using it until this Spring. It cut fast and seemed to do a good job, but had a lot of internal gear noise. After less than 30 minutes of run time, this Fall it broke down. The steel pinion gear shifted off the shaft and barely had any grease on it. The worm gear on the motor shaft was badly worn and several teeth on the pinion gear were sheered off. The motor bearing on the shaft end floats in the housing, causing poor mesh with the gears. One motor brush was badly broken and indications are that it came that way from the factory. The motor field floats in the housing causing the armature to scrape the field body. It is out of warranty, but I hope because of its poor design and assembly I can still get it repaired cheaply.
