12 Years And Still Working

I purchased this in 2010. I am just now needing to replace the fuel filter. It was stored in an open area for several years. It cranked up without much effort. Great product!

Going on the third year. Have had many 2-stroke blowers for yard maintenance and it was the norm to mess with them in one way or another. I’m a mechanic and good with small engines. I saw the 4-cycle blower and weed eater at Home Depot and bought the next weekend when my weed eater fouled a plug. I have abused the crap out of all my tools. I use them hard and put them away dirty and wet, sometimes let them sit in the elements for long periods of time. But I fix them enough to get the job done. My Ryobi 4-cycle blower is no exception I have replaced fuel lines and primer and filter because I throw old gas in it that’s not filtered and leave it in the sun. Last year I put a carburetor on it from Amazon for $15.00. It has smoked pretty bad a couple times and knocked and I say “it’s time to add some oil”. This thing blows two-stroke headaches out of the water. Still has original air filter, spark plug, that I cleaned and re-gapped. In my mind, it’s a pretty tough machine with a timing belt and overhead cam. “Cool engine”.

Ryobi = Japanese For Crap Obi

Less than 2 yrs old, hard to start, once warmed up if you stop to rest, refuel etc, will not start again for 40 min or so.
Tried to start it again yesterday, rope pulls, fly wheel turns but suddenly quit turning the engine. Something came apart or broke inside,
no more RYOBI brand anything for me.

RYOBI is Japanese for CRAP

I purchased one of these blowers used it three times and blew a head gasket, Home Depot replaced the blower with a new one and that one blew a head gasket as well, they replaced it again, it went about 15 to 20 uses and blew a head gasket. This time they did not replace it as they said the warranty was from the first blower, not the replacement ones. Very unsatisfied with blower and Home Depot. This blower is crap!!!!!!! If you want to throw away $160 buy this blower!!!!!

Hasn't worked correctly from day one. Cuts out whenever you hold the trigger for more then 3 seconds. I will never buy Ryobi again.
