Compressor works extremely well and is quieter than expected. I would recommend this compressor by my first impressions, but it is new, and only time will tell if I'm right.

Schulz V-Series 5-HP 80-Gallon Works Great

Arrived on a lift gate as requested. It was well crated so no damage occurred during shipping. Instructions were clear and concise. Came filled w/ oil. Basically I unboxed it, hooked it up in 15 minutes and had air. As a bonus, it's quieter than I expected. I changed the oil as recommended after 8 hours of run time and it's got about 50 hours on it since, just chugging along. Hopefully, it'll continue to do so for the rest of my working life. Time will tell. It would be nice to have an hour meter to help dial in the service interval but the models I looked at with that option were out of my price range. The only real complaint I have is the water drain situation requires you to get your hand under the tank in a small space at an awkward angle to open the drain. When opened, the short drain tube sprays in your face if you're not quick. I'll plumb something in later I guess.

This Is A Well Made Product

I was hoping this unit would be quieter than my older one, and it IS much quieter. They (Schulz) delivered big here. It recovers very well at a low noise level. It's SO nice being able to stand near it and talk to others and actually hear what they are saying instead of trying to read lips... I have only had the unit for a couple months so I can't talk about durability yet.
Only con I have is the inability to turn down the shut off (high) compressed air value switch. It shuts off at 175psi period, it is factory preset @175psi - the instructions tell you not to tamper with it and it's not adjustable... this is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. I would have liked to have it shut if off at maybe around 150 max... I have installed a regulator a short distance downstream to handle that - only thing is the flexible line to the regulator has to handle the full 175psi the entire time the unit is operating... other than that I'm very pleased with this unit, it delivers everything as advertised... Well done Schulz.

I bought this in 2015, I liked it, so I bought another. I usually have 4 or more framers, it takes a lot of air especially nailing shear, and roofs, one really good worker can shoot 5000 nails per hour, on a roof.
