Pressure washer-safe detergents need to be mild enough that they don't damage your pump's seals since the water flow carries it through the pump. They also need to be thin enough that the water stream can pick it up- if it's too thick the siphon won't work properly.
The detergent is designed to break the bonds between grime and the surface. The directions say to let it sit for a few minutes, but not to let it dry on the surface before rinsing. Then the powerful rinse spray can be more effective in rinsing it away.
Since it's a mold and penetrates the surface it is much harder to remove. Many times it will require treatment with a mildewcide, then you can use your pressure washer to rinse the mildewcide off.

Not The Best

Would not take much off---the power of the washer does 95% of the work---this soap made little difference and has to be so diluted to work in the machine, it is too weak?

A "wet and forget" product works slower, but may be better over the long run to treat mildew on roofs.

Was kinda skeptical about this product when i received it. It came clear and didn't look very strong. But it did the job very well.

Pressure washer-safe detergents need to have a watery consistency so the siphon action of the water rushing by will pick them up and add them to the water stream.
The manufacturers know this and formulate the cleaners accordingly- they might be thin, but they are effective!

Green Gone; Clean Siding
By Gary W.
Mountain View, Missouri
Purchased 09/24/2015 |
Review Posted 10/16/2015
The house I bought had a heavy coating of green on the north side siding.
I figured it was going to take a lot of scrubbing but I was able to give the house a good spraying of the cleaner on the siding and let it settle for a bit. I used the strong nozzle to be able to reach the second floor and with that I was amazed that it cleaned the surface well and has given a clean shine to the siding.

Pretty Satisfied

I bought the 3100 Generac pressure washer and used it to pressure wash my deck. It took off most the paint, but still left some. I will have to sand the deck afterward, otherwise I'm pretty much satisfied with the machine.
Will use it again to power wash the house.

PowerBoss 2600
By Kurt
Bristol, Connecticut
Review Posted 06/21/2012
I used my new PowerBOSS 2600 PSI Pressure Washer with the Honda motor this weekend for the first time and was very satisfied with the unit. The engine started on the very first pull, very impressive, and engine noise much quieter than the Generac 2200gpm unit I had before purchasing this one, there is no comparison. The unit has plenty of spraying power.
The spray tips snap into the end, and have to be changed when going from applying the soap to rinse. One of the tips kept popping out of the connector on the spray gun. At one point the 25° tip launched out into the woods, never to be found again. The next day I went to a big box store to pick up some more siding cleaner.
While I was there I purchased a nozzle with 6 different tips built into one unit. I am extremely satisfied with the pressure washer and new spray nozzle.
