Terrible With Wet Snow

Will only throw dry snow. If snow is wet or slushy it plugs up very frequently. Often unable to start by hand but electric start works well. I have owned this unit about 5 years. Had it to dealer a couple of times. Once they replaced impeller and that made it a little better.

Previously I had an el cheap Sears for about ten years til it wore out. My Simplicity is FAR inferior to that cheap Sears model. It just doesn’t blow snow nearly as far as it should and if the snow is wet slop forget it and get out the shovel.

Rugged & Tough- You Need One

Shifting is a little stiff. The paperwork could have stated that oil may have been added to the engine prior to delivery.
Registering could have been easier and it was very difficult to find engine information. After calling support I found out that when registering the product online, they don't require a lot of information. You can't even fill in the block where the buyer had purchased the item from. Instructions should be item specific. The buyer didn't engineer the assembly(s). A little work on the skids and it works great.

NOT WHAT I HOPED FOR

Handles well , starts great , but if snow is least bit wet it clogs and has to be cleaned out all the time. Big clue to this problem is the tool to unclog is mounted on the front !!!

Expert Response
Many snow blowers feature the clean-out tool on the front. To prevent clogging, try spraying non-stick spray in the chute.

awful snowblower

i owned a 2 stage Ariens snowblower for 10 years the 2nd year it went in for a new style HD clutch under warranty, other then that nothing ever failed every year it started and could always depend on it.

I have always used simplicity lawn tractors they are hands down the best, 9/30/14 i went to simplicity dealer for blades i new my snowblower was getting old so i talked to owner who is a friend and he talked me into a new simplicity snowblower (h1226e) he told me they are as good if not better than Ariens it has worked okay last 2 winters, but bolts keep falling out and have to be replaced.

Well, this year I was using it in 2 in. of snow and all of a sudden everything went to heck it started making all kinds of noise. took it to dealer still under warranty the chute steel cracked in half, the muffler was cracked, the hand warmers don't work, so they are putting a whole new chute on it (warranty) but i have to pay for inside impeller he said rocks went threw it he no's where i live all black top no rocks at all trust me get an Ariens.

A beast!

Shopping for my first snowblower, I wasn't sure where to start, but upon some advice from family and friends, boy am I glad I listened and purchased this Simplicity snowblower.

After the Winter we had last year here in Boston, I was determined to make a purchase, and I'm glad I made the right one! It is a beast, starts right up on the first pull, and cuts through snow like a champ.

The all steel construction, easy turn feature, as well as electric chute make this machine a pleasure to use. Can't wait to use it again!
