I am 77 yrs. old , I bought this mower for my son, he mows my lawn, about 1/4 acre, and his next to mine about an acre, he has only used one time, he says it is great, and would recommend it to anyone.

Pros:
Features, Price, Quiet
285Z Zero Turn

Purchased a few months ago and to date love the mower. I had the same problem as Timothy in Ashville, NC as the right side hanging bolt that lifts the mower deck came off shortly after the mower was delivered, and could not be found, had to order a new one from local dealer and install it myself. Have had no problem since. Have reduced mowing time by half. Like the engineering i.e. easy maintenance features. I would recommend they put in a fuel gauge and have the option of an attachable sun screen for over head protection.

Great mower

Review Posted 04/19/2013
I bought this mower two months ago and have nothing but good things to say about it. The only bad thing was the right side hanger fell off from it when it was assembled. But other than that little mishap it's the best mower on the market for the price.

What I wanted

This equipment is much what I wanted and it performs very good. I have extra time to do other things in my yard because I cut my grass in half the time I did before.

I don't have mulching equipment with my machine, but it clears the yard when I have leaves where before if my bagging equipment was not on my machine I still had leaves in my yard after mowing.

I AM VERY PLEASED AND WILL RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE.

My Experience Was Completely Different
By Steve B.

Review Posted 03/10/2012
While I do not doubt the previous reviewer's problems actually happened, I think the review was a little harsh.

This was my first ZTR mower. When I bought this mower, money was very tight. It was the best mower I could afford. Sure, I would have liked to bought a County Clipper or a Scag, but I didn't have that kind of cash.

I had a problem with a couple of "R" pins falling out, but I believe it was due to transport. After replacing the pins, all was good. The mower cuts very well. It never bogs down even in thick grass. It used to take me 2.5 hours to cut my lawn, I'm down to 45 minutes. All things being the same, I would buy this again. But now I have more disposable income, I would likely buy a mid grade or semi pro model.

Regardless of the mower you buy, be sure to purchase a MoJack (www.themojack.com). It makes cleaning and repair easy.

Got a Lemon
By Dawson
Saint Charles, Missouri
Review Posted 08/10/2011
I have had this mower for 2 months now and have nothing but problems. The bolt that attaches cable to right control arm fell off right after being delivered. The right side bolt holding mower deck fell off scalping the yard. Now the left side transmission quits working after 20 minutes. I can not even use the mower now. Called customer service and was told I have to call Snapper. I would not ever buy from this company again.

Expert Response
Dawson is correct. We were contacted on 8/10 that customer was having trouble with this mower - approx 2 months after it was delivered to them. Our customer service rep referred the customer to contact Snapper directly or visit a local service center. Customer stated they had tried neither before today. We do not accept returns on products after 30 days from the date of purchase.
