Rain Water Pump

I use this pump to remove rain water from my backyard. I have french drains that dump into a 50 gallon drum that is buried in the ground. Water builds up and creates a pond in the yard and this pump moves the water to a drainage ditch 100 ft. away. The pump runs for days at a time with heavy rain and moves thousands of gallons of water. The only problem is that the pump only last for 3 years and I'm on my 3 rd. pump. But I will buy another one when this pump fails.

This pump has flooded my basement not once but twice! We purchased it for our basement bathroom, installed, not even 2 months later it stopped pumping the sewage out causing it to overflow into the basement. We called the manufacturer, had a replacement sent and another 2 months later it happened again. I can't even believe someone would make something of such poor quality! Put your money towards a more expensive one, it will save you a horribly disgusting mess.

Very sorry to hear that you've had issues with this model pump. If the same pump failed twice, within a short period of time, it leads me to believe that the problem may be the installation or the application. I'd consider contacting a licensed plumber to see if they can diagnose the problem that's causing the pump to fail.

I am very satisfied with the pump which I purchased. Although I do not use it for a permanent sewage installation.
I use it for draining pools which are very green and have a lot of hard debris which is not visible in the green water.
This pump has an open impeller which is able to handle some solids very well.
