Swisher ST67522BS Reviews & Ratings
UNHAPPY CUSTOMER

We have this new trim-n-mow sitting in our barn and I'm having to use my old Troy-Bilt mower that's approximately 20 yrs old. This Swisher, we've only been able to use once, it's to hard to start and we can't keep line on it. Plus it's really of poor quality . I've wished many times that I had bought another brand.

Tried everything to keep string from breaking from the mounting loop. Even in 4" grass sometimes only gets 50' before changing the line. Housing fills with clippings causing the belt to vibrate and wear through the plasic housing. Soaking strings or dry strings they just don't last.

Bought at local buisness still in box. Minor assembly required. Gassed it up, added oil, pulled cord, would not recoil. Also did not come with string guard. Contacted manufacturer and was told I would have to order seperate even though all pictures shows guard. Was also told to take to service center approx. 30 miles for repair. Paid 400 dollars for a piece of equipment I have not been able to use yet.

Swisher Not So Sweeet

There really is nothing I can say good about this trimmer. It is difficult to start even with the low compression engine. It bogs in 2 foot tall orchard grass and when it dies, it floods. It is clumsy on hills and worse yet when pushing up hill, digs into the dirt on the uphill side unless you ignore the directions and lift the front end of the machine. The line itself is fairly short lived and the method of attachment, while relatively easy, is not very secure. With all the problems, an area that takes me about 1 hour to trim with a standard string trimmer could not be finished in an hour and 15 minutes. I finally had to use the string trimmer to finish the job the Swisher couldn't. I returned the machine to the store and got my money back. In my opinion, unless you have a flat area with no serious brush or grasses, this is a waste of time and money.
