Toro 38608 Reviews & Ratings
Powerful, Compact, Needs Maintainance
By Michael

I have the 722E (38608), which is essentially a 2013 model that's more basic (i.e. no quick chute, Power Max anti-clogging technology, serrated impellers..). It's the same engine and 22" wide, crank to move the chute, and it's awesome. I live in MN and the 2013-2014 winter has given plenty of testing. Goes thru 14" drifts with ease, doesn't bog while going thru 3' of plowed snow @ end of driveway and it has ample throwing distance. A few things I've noticed... when the snow is really heavy, throwing performance decreases (likely need a larger model with better throwing capacity). Also, some of the assembly bolts holding handle bars to the unit itself (down near the tires) have come loose, so the machine doesn't sit level with the ground always (I put lock nuts on, but it requires continual tightening). For those questioning whether the 724OE will do the job, it will. If my older-generation sibling version can do it with ease in heavy MN winters, surely the 724OE will perform as expected.

We got this snowblower just in time for the snowiest January since 1996. It is great! My wife uses it more than I.

Well Designed Machine

Review Posted 01/25/2011
Compact, powerful, easy to use. My first time using, I cleaned over 6 inches of snow easily. Initially, I did have to make some minor readjustments to the traction rod flange locknuts and readjust the clevis and jam nut to get the auger/impeller drive belt to engage properly, but after that the machine worked perfectly. Overall, my order was processed efficiently and the delivery was quick. This is a well designed machine........what else do you expect from Toro?

love this snowblower

Got this snowblower to replace an older, larger one that I couldn't operate. We were able to clear 18" of snow from the driveway and walkways with little effort. Everyone in my family is able to operate this one unlike the older one we had where only my husband could maneuver it. It is easy to start, operate and, thankfully, fit into the garage after using. Hope we continue to be as pleased with it as we are now.

Review Posted 01/06/2011
Have only used once, but it did well. May have 1 inch on ground tomorrow for use # 2. Electric start is GREAT.
Assembly was a bit more than I expected. Directions needed to label what size nut bolt went where.
