Stupid Oil Fill System

This snowblower has a poorly designed oil fill port and oil level check system. The unit must be tipped up on the front end to fill. Instructions on how to check oil level are extremely poor. Even a call to the factory did not help. The oil fill plug sits horizontally when the snowblower is in the normal operating position, which has me concerned that it could loosen and fall out during normal operation. This would cause loss of all the oil and damage to the engine. I think this is a very poor design for a brand that otherwise has a great reputation. I would not buy this machine again had I known of this poor design before purchase.

This thing is an absolute beast for its size, ten inches of heavy wet snow means nothing to this blower. I’m amazed at the work it will do, great value and workhorse.

Waited several weeks to write a review because I hadn't used it yet, no snow! Just had our first snow in NYC. Broke out my new Toro and it worked just as good as all of the reviews I had read. It is lightweight, nimble, easy to maneuver. It throws the snow a mile. Cleared off my driveway and sidewalk down to pavement very quickly. Now this performance was with 5 inches of snow. Love my new Toro. Very happy with this machine.
My purchase from Snow Blowers Direct was without any problems. It arrived, Fed Ex, free shipping, on time. No damage during shipping. The machine arrived in perfect condition. Very good sales experience would buy from Snow Blower's Direct again. In fact have already ordered extra paddles, scrapper, and oil. All arrived on time without ever leaving my house. Wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again!!!

This snowblower was a great purchase, but it hasn't snowed since I put it together! My wife did note that the handle is either crooked or mounted on wrong as one side is higher than the other.

My next door neighbor has an older version of this which is a 2 stroke and it works just great. However, with this gas only model it makes it so easy for my wife and daughter to use when I am not able to. It is so lightweight and just went through 6” of snow yesterday with little effort. We love the fact that it clears our driveway right down to the surface. Thank you so much for this great product and fast delivery!
