Bought a Toro, 54" cut zero turn from Mowers Direct in August.They shipped it free with no tax to pay. Saved me at least $500. The best part is this Toro Mower ! It is so much fun to operate with speed and power I have never had in a mower.
Took a little while for my brain to accept the new zero turn steering but now we have become one. My mowing time for my 10 acres has been cut in half and I am not sore and beat up when I am done. Thanks to Mowers Direct ! Glad I found your website.

I bought this Toro TimeCutter 54" to replace my Toro 42" mower to save time mowing. It used to take me 2 hrs to mow, and now it takes less than 1-1/2 hrs with 8 more HP engine. It's a great mower, and the price was great also.

The good, the bad, and the ugly

My zero turn Toro mower arrived as scheduled and as advertised. However, it was packaged so that 3 of us, all with college degrees, armed with screwdrivers, wrenches and saws were unable to uncrate it. We had to resort to lifting it off the bottom custom built pallet with chains and our tractor.
The mower works wonderfully and I gleefully set to work on the very tall grass without issue until the rear tire went flat. No puncture visible the leak seems to be a defect in one of the treads. Spent 2 1/2 hours online trying to find an identical replacement tire. Mowers Direct did give me a local business to call, but doesn't deal with tires. So, basically it has been a mixed experience.

BAD DESIGN SS 5425 time cutter

Deck falls off mower if you hit a bump at 1 1/2 inch to two inch setting. Hard to re-install. Toro will sell you a fix kit for $65. Looks like Toro would fix this from factory. Won't buy another Toro. Been buying wheel horse-toro products since 1970.

I have a John Deere G110 it has been a great mower but the deck has rusted out so I purchase this mower to replace it. New mower is great handling - made my Deere slow. Thanks Mower Direct.

TORO is a tough bull with horns (lap bars)

After researching and comparing many brands, features and, of course, the prices, we decided on the TORO TimeCutter. We have had it for nearly a month and are pleased with the performance. It mows our 10 acres of sagebrush and grass faster and better than our old farm tractor.
The zero turn functions well for mowing around and close to trees. It was not a good experience attempting to remove it from the crate and pallets, although we are quite capable folks in our late 60's. We had to use an electric saw and a hand saw, hoist and jacks and ropes to remove it. It was a real challenge.
We agree with another customer review that a ramp or other feature would be helpful. Another negative was the poor, unreadable instructions to install the armrests. The shipping and delivery was changed 3 times and was very frustrating when appointments were not kept. Overall, we are pleased with the TORO and would recommend it to others.
