Strong And Reliable

We used the same model pump in a portable configuration to pump out a low spot in my yard that held about 2 to 3 acre-feet of water, 1 to 3 times per year. After nine years of doing that, I got tired of the manual approach and built a small pump station, using the same model pump, and it has worked perfectly. My recent purchase is essentially a back up pump, providing for that situation, where either the pump station gets clogged or I need to replace the pump.
This pump is both strong and reliable and has functioned with minimal maintenance for many years.

I was a bit concerned with the probe style shut off, so I tested it before I set it in the pool for the night and it worked perfectly. I came back the next morning and the pump had drained down until there was about 4 inches of water. Beats standing around waiting for it to run out of water so you can pull the plug before the pump burns out.

My 1st Field Equipment Purchase

I am a Field Technician for Electrical Utility projects at a small Electrical Engineering & Design firm in GA., USA. I was entrusted with selecting a pump to be installed in a Substation for a small Electric Co-Op in SC, USA. The specific application is to keep drainage water in the cable trench box system at or below 4", and out of the conduit Risers. After speaking with the Substation Designer, Client Substation Supervisor, CSR Jim (yes..the actual person whose face is on the webpage), and cable trench box manufacturer, I chose this Submersible pump.
Follow-up with Substation Supervisor to query pumps effectiveness gathered this comment "It's rained more here in the last Six weeks(Nov-Dec '15) than I can remember over the last Twenty years. I've dropped my visits to inspect pump from twice a week to regular station schedule of once a month."
I will use waterpumpsdirect.com again as the need arises. They add intrinsic value to our Client services. The CSR's are competent, have real world experience, did not push any particular product, and gave sound advice. And when the install deadline was moved up two weeks, I chose 2-day shipping which actually turned out to be 42 hours to our desk- Nice!!

Not made in Japan but Malaysia

Tsurumi pumps are one of the best pumps you can buy to keep your basement dry. It is like Toyota / Lexus in a pump's word. You cannot kill it.
I have used this pump during Sandy and Irene storms to clean my basement and there are rugged, well built and the most important reliable almost the commercial grade pumps (can run 24 hours/ 7 days). Unfortunately this pump is not made in Japan but Malaysia. Quality control is never same as a product made in Japan. This pump is not cheap, however how much is your basement cleanup and replacement of water heater, furnace and/or washer dryer, wash machine and what else you have there worth.

I have used these pumps now for 15 years, This is a great unit that I can set in a pit and let it do its thing. Our current site has a 22' deep excavation and about 125 foot run to storm line , we had 2" rain yesterday and I arrived to site this morning with no standing water. The only down side is the serviceability, I have not been able to readily get parts to service this unit .

Powerful Pump

A compact powerful pump The long build in electric cord (32 ft) is a definite plus. I have it used it a couple of times, certainly a good piece of equipment to have in fending off basement flooding. I found it a great buy even if it's a bit pricey. Overall I am very satisfied with the performance and the build quality of this product.
